After doing this on my own for the last 30 years I figure its time I join a support group in my old age as managing severe pain on a daily basis is becoming more of a challenge than before. I hope that in sharing we can help one another to a state of wellness.

Hi, I am new to the forum, already I can empathize with all. I too, have had fibro foe close to 30 yrs. but
the last couple have been doozies. I finally got a referral from my MD to a pain management clinic. I
am taking gapapentin and am on a pain patch. It helps quite a lot. Not totally pain free, but there are
times I can go 4 hours or so without pain and i am sleeping better as well. Are you seeing a rhumotologist
now.I also am older but I know much younger people with fibro who have extremely bad symptoms with fibro,
so I guess i have been fortunate not to have worse problems sooner.
