Hey yall. It has been pointed out to me at my job that when I'm moving around working in the heat (~75 degrees) and start sweating, my skin is freezing cold to the touch. Does anyone else experience this? It's mostly my extremities (arms, legs, and hands) that this happens with, my core is warm to the touch. When this happens I usually feel hot internally but my skin is cold when you touch it.

I know fibro causes temperature regulation issues and I often feel too hot or too cold and sometimes both hot and cold at the same time. I call that the cold-hot. Where I feel overheated and freezing at once. What a strange condition we've got.

Hi @Oberon

Yes, I get the same. I'd just written a long post, and then when I saw your heading, I edited mine, and I think i must have deleted the post :(

I'll have another go later, when my "go" returns ;)

Yes, a very strange condition indeed, @Oberon . Have you had a chance to tell your doctor about this, just in case it might be a symptom of something else that is actually treatable? There are some other conditions that might cause this kind of thing.

I'm planning to talk to my doctor about it when I next see her just in case, it's in my notes haha. It's so tricky trying to figure out if things are fibro symptoms or something I should be worried about. Always a good call to ask the GP.

Ugh, that's the worst! I'm glad I'm not the only one, that's very interesting. Would love to hear more if/when you get the energy :)

I have this also, my Husband noticed that when I am sweating my hands and arms are cold. Never thought of it being fibromyalgia causing it. Thanks for posting.

Hi @Oberon and @Grammy04

It's really very odd. Sometimes dribbly sweaty, from forehead into eyes. Fibro is so messed up :D :D :D

I've requested quite a few checkups with the doc, so far it's nothing, but yes indeed. One does wonder if some things we brush off may need attention. Trouble is, the docs sometimes also brush things off, and that can be troubling indeed !!!

Oh, just an hint I was given ages ago, to get a persons attention, put the @ symbol in front of their name, they get an alert ;)🤗🤗

I have heat sensitivity also and sweat like a man sometimes, cold as ice sometimes!! I can shower, dry off, and if I am hit with one of my heat spells I am just as wet as in the shower!! It is so frustrating!!😡 My hair gets so wet I might as well not fix it because it won't hold the style🤷 I am 70yrs. old so I know it is not menopause!!!😎🥵🥶
