So I went to the emergency room today. Not the best start to the week. And the doctor acted like I was crazy. He wouldn’t take any of my suggestions to give the medication that my doctor in pain management said to use he argued with me about What I need.

So sorry to hear this. And I don't know if this helps or not, but you have a lot of company. Most of us, whether or not we have ever been to Emergency, have had similar experiences. It's very unfortunate, and you have my empathy.

Yes, definitely have been looked at as crazy by doctor and people. Very painful emotionally. For me, understanding God is in control is a huge benefit. It may not heal me but studying His word has helped me through my storms.

It can be one of the worst parts of living with FM and put people off doctors. It can seem like our treatment is at their discretion as some don't have the patience or will to get involved. Although tiring and stressful it's important that we stand our ground regarding the impact of FM as we try or best to live. @Elamiras I'm also sorry to hear of your awful experience, life can be hard enough without the added difficulty of FM.

Badger,
I love your picture by the way. My students have been using post it notes to make me butterflies at school. I am currently on Gabapentin and I am getting a IV infusion of Toridol on Tuesday. I am trying to prepare for a trip to Laughlin this weekend and I don't want to be in pain on my mini vacay. I appreciate your reply. The love on this forum is amazing!
