found a video on youtube with one of the authors of this paper - a Dr. Robert Katz - talking about the findings published in the paper titled
"Intramuscular Pressure Is Almost Three Times Higher in Fibromyalgia Patients: A Possible Mechanism for Understanding the Muscle Pain and Tenderness"
the paper is published in the Journal of Rheumatology, April, 2021

108 patients with diagnosed FM, and 30 patients with another rheumatic disease (RA, Lupus, etc) as controls, were tested for intramuscular pressure in the trapezius muscle. the primary finding is that the greater majority of FM patients had a significantly higher IMP than the non-FM "control" group.

Dr Katz says that more study is required, but this could be a simple, well tolerated test for diagnosing, and an avenue for future treatment protocols.

Replying to keep this thread alive. I just watched a video (probably the same one) about this. Very interesting.

Very interesting.
Yup, I think this image can already benefit us by enticing us to practice relaxing our muscles more deeply.
