I had the right side S1 foramen injection yesterday at 2pm. I have never been to this new diagnostic imaging place before. So I was a little apprehensive. Even though the dr didn’t talk the whole time to me like the pain specialist that normally does my injections.
I barely even felt the anaesthetic go in. And no pain at all.
Well apart from laying on my tummy with arms over head on the ct machine bed.
Omg the pain in my shoulders and neck. Then trying to get up out of that 😖.
I haven’t had much sleep. So it’s going to be a long drawn out day today.
I get another injection just after lunch today in left side S1 foramen. Looking forward to getting it done and over with so they can start working 🤞.
oh geez, i can certainly empathize.. laying on my tummy is also hard for me, and the arms over the head - ouch!

I just got a phone call from my pain clinic wanting to reschedule my Thurs injection appt.. GRRRRRR
either need to do this coming Tuesday now, or wait another frigging month. Not sure I can wait that long.. things have been getting worse and worse here. Just want to cry right now, but that doesnt help anything either..

Did you go for the now injection?
I was going to do my injections next month but my daughter made me book them to get some relief over Xmas.
yes the tummy sleeping went out the window 11 years ago.
Good luck 🤞

rescheduled for Tues the 13th... was the soonest they could get me in...

Apparently the doc that was going to do the injection is unexpectedly out of the office... hope it is nothing serious, but still kinda annoyed...
The doc that will be doing the injection on Tues is one I have dealt with before, and I am fine with that change..

but if for some reason (ie: no driver) I could not have taken the Tuesday appt, it would have been more than a month before I could get in again.

Yeh they do push the driver on you. Only one injection in my C5/6 early last year I was lucky I had a drive as I had no use of my right arm. Was totally numb and couldn’t move it for a few hours. 😳
I have been back for a review after injections and when I got there he did injection and I have driven back home.
I have been reasonably lucky in the waiting times for alot of my appointments.
Though I have just hit the 20 months waiting list to see a gastroenterologist for this reflux 😖.

holy cow!! 20 months?!?!?! that is insanity!

The only injection i have had that i did not have a driver for was one in my left hip for bursitis - being a side sleeper, and having greater trachonter bursitis in BOTH hips was making it very difficult to get any sleep at all.

I have had bursitis there once before. But both sides I feel for you.
Sure is insane, I got a text of the hospital asking if I wanted to stay on the waiting list ? My gp has sent a couple more referrals to them telling them that the reflux was progressing. It’s horrible, if i happen to sleep it wakes me up as it’s come up out my nose and I almost choke on it. It’s even scared my H when it happens.

Finally the cervical injection happened today! Yay!

not saying i feel any major relief at this point, but just glad to have it done and be home - we have some nasty winter weather coming in tonight that is going to stick around for several days.. kind of glad I can just stay home and recuperate during that mess.

anyway... Doc came in prior to procedure to go over things with me... turns out he had to go one level down from the intended site because of space issues... as in not enough space to get the needle in where they originally wanted to do this (C6/7 level) so he chose to go down one level (to C7/T1) and kind of point the needle upward to get the medication where it needs to be.. might be a few days to 2 weeks for full relief...

Oh, and to add to the stress levels today.. the local police & sheriff departments with clinic staff involved were doing an "active shooter drill" today... sad that we have to do these kinds of things at all, but there it is.

well, my new year is off to a cracking start...

first the internet went down for 6+ days (did not actually get fixed until today (Tues, Jan 3) and on the same day the 'net gets fixed, my cell phone goes out - cant make or receive voice calls... at least I can still text - for the time being...

Oh, and had an issue with the pc as well.. had to install a couple of hotfix updates in order to utilize a new M2 type hard drive (the ones that look like a stick of memory), but had to turn on Windows update in order to install those - installation went fine, got the new drive set up no problem - turned update back off (this is on a Win 7 Pro, 64 bit pc - and no, i dont want to upgrade it to 10, so dont even bother) but it still started in with the pop-ups saying i needed to "activate" my Windows again.. attempted to do the phone activation, but that failed... trying to call "customer service" was an exercise in frustration - never did get to an actual person, only automated service (on several different numbers), which was of no help... ARGH!

very frustrated by this point...

My partner, bless his heart, did some searching for me and we finally got the issue resolved, but criminey, what a pain in the backside!

so, pc is fixed (enough for my needs with it) and internet is fixed.. now only the phone remains a problem.. and no idea what to do with it..
Again, "customer service" is a joke and basically useless... I tried all of the suggested trouble shooting offerings ranging from restarting, restarting in safe mode, and even pulling the sim card and reinstalling.. nothing has worked thus far. About ready to go sign up with a different company..

Oh your so lucky to have a tech savvy partner. I used to be ok with the desk top computer but haven’t had one for many years and so out of touch.
My kids normally fix stuff on my phone I bugger up.
How is your pain now after your injections?
My lumbar is karput. I have some relief in my neck but can feel it slowly returning. The night pain is all too familiar.
I had to cancel my osteopath appointment for today so I could take my son for a check up at the hospital today. But my osteopath rang me and told me he will open early and to come in at 8am tomorrow for treatment, 😊phew cause I need it badly.
Has any of you that suffer nerve pain have a weird rash? Its on my upper arm just below shoulder and goes down to almost elbow . It’s definitely nerve as it has weird little dots . Oh my the itch is intense. The itch settles for a bit but when it starts up I can’t scratch it enough.

no, i dont want to upgrade it to 10, so dont even bother
Same here: no Win 10, only Win 7 and making sure I keep clear of bugs.
trying to call "customer service"
I'd've thought they'd hang up anyone if they hear we're still using Win 7.
My partner, bless his heart, did some searching for me
Yeah, I think that's the only way. I'm always surprised how little information there is for the quirkier pc problems, considering the amount on this planet, but at least I usually find 2-3 people with a similar problem and that can point me further.

You have pulled the battery too I assume?

Haven't, but curious. Thought there'd be more, but a quick look only comes up with a weird page about nerve skin rash on fastlyheal, suggesting antihistamines as first treatment, but unsuccessfully trying to describe the difference between nerve allergy and stress dermatitis, so I wouldn't do anything this page suggests.
(Nerve rashes tend to appear in Method, Neck, Breast and Brazos :ROFLMAO:. Brazos is Spanish for arms I found out, but a machine translator translating it into German came up with "weapons"- so can "arms" be used in the sense of weapons in Spanish?? A body part called "Method" has me/the web stumped.)
Healthline more reliably states "A fibromyalgia rash is most often caused by medication" and names 3 fibro & 2 pain meds, or light sensitivity.

Sounds to me like something to get checked either way....

You have pulled the battery too I assume?
cant pull the battery on this one, it is hardwired - as most newer phones are these days - kinda dumb if you ask me, but there it is.. planned obsolescence at its finest.

@Harpy - cant say I have had a rash like you describe, but i would definitely get it checked out.
Medications are definitely something to consider as far as that goes.. i had a bad reaction to a prescribed nsaid that caused severe itching.. Have you started anything new recently?

As for my injection - well, not as good as I had hoped for.. maybe a 40% improvement, but a few days after, i started getting a headache that just wont go away, and got severe enough at one point to send me to the ER... as in migraine territory. I have never really had migraine headaches before.
and to add insult to injury, the lumbar/SI joint region is flaring up again big time - the pins & needles down the legs is getting rather uncomfortable again... February cant get here soon enough at this point. (my consult at a different provider)

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. 👐 Does sound like the hyaluronic acid injections in my lower back, except that didn't help at all, just doubled the pain for months.... 😬

well, i managed to fix my phone.. it all stemmed from the shutdown of the 3G networks, with Verizon being the last major carrier to kill theirs...
for some reason the VoLTE was turned off on my phone and that is why i lost voice calling.. got it figured out, turned on and a restart of the phone and all is good again. Yay... small victory.

Well the rash I have on my upper arm is a staf infection 😳.
So back on antibiotics for 10 days and have to use a steroid cream as soon as it feels itchy. Or up to 4 times a day . What next .
