Hi,

I am suffering for the last 20 years, of those 15 years I thought that I was a very unbalanced careless person, 5 years I am been working on my various symptoms and now in the last 7-10 days I have come across 'Fibromyalgia' and already I am on a recovery path.

I have read a lot and to make things brief, I come across:

1) magnesium + malic acid
2) ribose

these 2 things in almost every article, could you please suggest medicine's for both, i mean the names with pharma company, I am from India and a lot of medicines of various brands exist here.

Any suggestions for these 2 items are welcome.

Regards
Rahul

any help/suggestions please(specially if you are from India)?

Thanks
Rahul

Hi there. From the US, but I take magnesium malate (malic acid) every day. Like everything else, it doesn't take away all the pain, but added to the mix of medications that I take, it adds a bit. I also take Cymbalta for pain (Eli Lilly but now has generic), tramadol (generic) for pain, trazadone (generic) for sleep, NSAIDs for pain, Vitamin D, B complex vitamins and L-cartine (another supplement). I hope this helps.

@Loftpat : thanks for sharing this information, it is very informative.

PS: I am looking for medicines with magnesium, could you please help me with the medicine name and the pharma company.
1) magnesium malate with malic acid - medicine name and pharma company?

I would be grateful if you could help, here is one link which provides some of the medicines that I have found, any guidance would be of great help.

@Loftpat:

1) thanks so much for this information, I have to say that B complex has made a huge difference in my life, but I want more energy, do you have any idea about D ribose powder, could it help me with energy? I want energy since I want to play sports that are physical like football/badminton/cricket.

Thanks
Rahul

Hello Rahul I am from India. I moved back from San Francisco to Bangalore. I have been using Magnesium calm for years.. However my symptoms have flared up again. Last time it seemed Ayurvedic medications helped. One of them includes brahmi. But I'm really not sure. Let's see what helps this time. From supplements point of view, I use vitamin D, fish oil and obviously magnesium. Despite all of this, my symptoms of flared up.

You may find flupirtine maleate useful for pain relief. Unfortunately, it is not available in US. But is available in India and Europe. It is no side effects on my stomach nor it is addictive. Tramadol never helped me so I started taking that.

@ramana : Well my sleep and head pain has been under control after a very long time, all I need is B-complex capsules from Pfizer, thanks for your recommendation, I am now looking for more energy since I can see that I am low on it, any idea about Protinex Junior? I can see that its got everything we need to combat Fibromyalgia, most of the vitamins, lots of minerals, magnesium and calcium too.

PS: There are many variants of Protinex and their composition differ.

Thanks
Rahul

Sorry, I think my last post did not get included. I am from India. I moved back from San Francisco to Bangalore. Good that you don't pain under control. You can actually use whey protein . You can also try cold laser therapy .I have not tried it. Tried cold laser therapy from other sources which helped a lot. I also sent you a Pm

rahul,

Here are some supplements recommended by many fibromyalgia specialists for increasing energy and reducing fatigue.

Vitamins D 50,000 units per day. do a internet search and you will find a site that has this and the others all in a combo.
can be shipped to India.

CoQ10 is the catalyst that makes it possible for the mitochondria to produce ATP. Improves Brain function.

NADH sets off a chemical chain reaction by transforming Coenzyme Q10 into its reduced form, which then serves as the catalyst that makes it possible for the mitochondria to produce ATP.

B12 is best taken in a sublingual form or by injection because it is not absorbed well in the stomach.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine also aids in reducing fatigue and to improve memory and cognitive functioning problems.

D-Ribose is a naturally-occurring sugar used in cell metabolism and the production of energy.
The combination of magnesium and malic acid works with the muscles to help them manufacture more ATP, resulting in more energy.

Bovine colostrum contains growth hormone that is essentially identical to human IGF-1.this has shown to give improvement in energy level and ability to concentrate.

Ginkgo balboa show that it increases the body's production of the energy molecule ATP. Boosts the brain's energy metabolism of glucose and increases electrical activity, resulting in more energy and improved cognitive functioning.

@cmetryme : thanks mate for this information, but I have found something thats working for me, and I will report my results here in a fortnight.

Cheers
