Hello. I'm new here. I guess I'll start by saying I'm 30 but I feel 80 most of the time.
I've had pain for years but over the last year it got progressively worse.
My family and friends call me a hypochondriac because I always have something
Wrong. For years I fought with myself thinking its all in my head.I feel like I have a bladder infection
At least one or two days a week then it goes away. Frustrating. The doctors look at me crazy when the
Urine tests come back normal. I've had back pain migraines for years. Anxiety for the past few years.
I just feel like no one I know gets it. I'm alone. My husband always tries to be sooooo
Supportive and my 10 year old daughter too. I feel like I'm letting her down constantly because I can't
Do as much as I used to and I'm exhausted all the time. I feel alone and useless. It sucks
This past year has been awful. I'm not working right now I had to take a leave of absence
Because the back and neck pain is bad lately. I get migraines and tension headaches
Daily. I feel like I've lost myself. The outgoing medical assistant I used to be. I'm scared because
I dont know where to go from here. Lately my left knee has been hurting bad off and on . My doctor is frustrating me. He looks at me as though I'm making stuff up. I asked him about fibromyalgia
And he says I don't like to use that diagnosis. I feel so lost. I know I have it.. I have just about
Every symptom. I don't know what to do. Sorry for rambling I'm all over the place lately
Especially with the "fibro fog"

Drea,
While it seems you are at a stand-still with your doctor there is something you can do about it here and now. You can learn coping skills for all your symptoms right here on this form. Please take time to read the entries about pain management and the ones on alternative methods. Read the older posts as well as, the new ones. Read in the top of the forum section about fibro and some of the symptoms that seem to go with it.

When you feel like you have a bladder infection, are you drinking acid types of juice like orange or tomato, or cranberry? If so stop drinking them. You may have a condition called interstitial cystitis. This condition can cause imflamation in the walls of the bladder and is very painful, yet is not a infection. Do a web search to find out more about it.

Your headaches could be a result of your anxiety and depression. It is a normal reaction to having an illness with no name. You might want to consider seeing a counseler in mental health. I am not saying you are crazy, but I know how much it helped me to have someone, other than family, to talk to. Someone who could offer suggestions and be a sounding board without being judgemental. I did much better in dealing with family and friends who did not think I was ill, by having a counseler who offered support and encouragement and taught me coping skills in all areas of my life.

Have you been to see a rheumatologist? This is the type of doctor who diagnosises fibro and other forms of arthritis. This should be your next move, as regular family doctors have not studied in this field and some are clueless. lol

And feel free to go to the moan and groan and vent section whenever life gets you down. The other members have been there where you are and will offer words of hope and support as you go through rough days. You are not alone anymore. Hope to see your posts around the forum. :)

Thanks for the advise. I don't usually drink acid types of drinks because
I get bad heart burn. But I will read up on it. I just feel so frustrated not knowing
What's wrong. I live with pain everyday and the doctor just keeps throwing
Pain pills at me that don't help. I feel like the doctors don't listen. I'm seeing
A neurologist he's done CT's and MRI but they find nothing. Blood test come back good too.
I've been going to this doctor for about 3 years and he always blames stress. I just
Want to know for sure so I can go from there.

My suggestion to you is see a neurologist for the headaches and when you see the Dr. tell them about all the different symptoms you are experiencing, usually when you see a neurologist they give u lots of paperwork and ask for all the symptoms. That would be my best advise to you.

Thanks for the advide. I just saw my neurologist Thursday and went in there
Balling my eyes out with a pain journal I've been keeping. He's finally
Taking it seriously. He's requesting I see another specialist asap.
