Hi,
This is my 1st time on the forum. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a month ago. I am wondering how to deal with sudden (daytime) fatigue that's so overwhelming that I "have to" sleep. What if I have to go to work? What can I do to function when it's impossible to not give in to sleep?
Help, please!

Thank you in advance!

Ginny

Welcome. Oh this is not easy. When I feel like u do I go for a walk. Yes I no for some that would be wrong, but I find it helps.that and a strong coffee first .
The sad thing is there nothing u can do at the moment.
Are u on anything to make u sleep properly .i no u might say oh I sleep for hours. But we don't go in all stages of sleep.that why we can sleep all day and still feel tired.
I'm on a nerve pill for pain but it gives me better sleep to.

Hi Ginny and welcome. Have you had your vitamin D levels checked? We often run low in that department. My energy levels improved with D3 supplements. Also b12 shots or oral supplements can be helpful. No easy answers. We often lack deep sleep as forgetmenot mentions. The fatigue is the price we pay.
