Not sure, what do you think?

Hi, new here. My doctor thinks I have fibromyalgia as we’ve ruled out everything else but I don’t have some of the common symptoms such as gut issues or brain fog or bad sleep and fatigue ( although I’m not full of energy that’s for sure!). I do however have constant pain from my hips down that is sometimes very bad and sometimes not quite so bad. It moves around my legs, knees and sometimes in my feet. I hurt in bed often and even just lounging on the couch and then it disappears for a few hours and comes back again. I am otherwise fit and healthy, eat plenty of vegetables, don’t drink or smoke, am not stressed and exercise every day (walking, stretching and weights) but it doesn’t seem to matter what I do, resting or exercising, I always have pain. Getting up after sitting down even for a few minutes is always painful and I’m very stiff. Am about 15 kilos overweight, which I imagine doesn’t help either. Have had this for decades (am 65 now). Panadol helps and I’m trialling Low Dose Naltrexone (for last six months which helps a tiny bit). Does that sound like fibromyalgia to you?

Hi @Ljvljv333 and welcome to the forum.
What you describe does sound to me like fibromyalgia, but of course I am not a doctor nor is anyone else here a doctor. The fact that you have some common symptoms and not others doesn't mean much in terms of whether or not you have fibro, because as you will find if you stick around here and read what people are writing about their experiences, the symptoms for fibromyalgia are many and varied and no two people will have exactly the same symptoms.

We are all here to do our best to help one another, so feel free to join in any discussions and ask any questions you may have. I hope that the forum is helpful to you.

Hi @Ljvljv333

Welcome to the forums. 🤗 🤗 🤗

I wasn't sure about fibro either, as the big thing seems to be pain, and I don't have that , or I am not aware that i have it (sounds dumb, but it's confusing).
