i just wanted to say how glad I was to find info from Canada (I'm in Texas) on Lyme diease. I was searching chronic sore throat & interstitial cystitis and came across lyme disease info. the thing that caught my eye was info on lyme disease and an inablity to drink alchohol- even three mixed drinks now leave me incapitated the next day, so i looke some more and for the first time in 5 years, i have some hope that Imight find out what is wrong with me and get better.
Since 2000 Ihave been treated for recurrent strep and bacterial infections in the throat, urinary tract, cessation of mentrual cycle due to hormaonal imablance, fatigue, depression, chronic migraine and now intersitial cystitis. This all started after a second bout of "ptyriosis" (which I didn't hink you could get twice) and I have been miserable ever since. i get better for alittle while, but the everpresent swollen lymph nodes, sore throats, infections etc always come back.
My son who was almost three at the time ( I was still occassionally nursing) developed circular rashes on his legs that went away after about a few days, then later got an ear infection. He has since developed learnign disabilites and just been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome due to noise sensitivity (whic started just after the rash) lack of facial expression, sequencing and attentional problems.
Am I crazy and really just a hypochondriac or does it really sound like I should get us tested? I am afraid to get to excited beacuse each time they think they have figured out what is worng with me I stay sick.
