I am not on any medication for anything. 70 years old, normal blood pressure, good cholesterol, no heart problems, normal weight, basically no health problems except fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with fibro 15 years ago and have handled fibro without medication (I have a high pain tolerance which my doctor thinks helps me, had my children natural childbirth), but this head thing is causing me to possibly rethink that.
Having a high pain tolerance does help a lot.
I wonder if you have tried seeing any natural health practitioner, such as a naturopathic doctor, or a doctor who integrates that into their practice? If you can, I would suggest trying that before you head down the road of pain medication, because unfortunately those often have side effects you won't want, and if you have not been on any you may have a low tolerance for them.
I am not proposing you go to someone who says they can heal you by waving their hands over your feet or something. but if there's a qualified natural healing doctor in your area, you might try that.
there is also homeopathy. I used to think that had to be utter bunk, but had to change my mind about it when a homeopathic vet resolved one problem after another with my cat, things 3 other vets had not been able to solve with medication....because cats don't know from placebo effect.
I figure that if something has very little to no chance of hurting you and you are inclined to try it, then do. Maybe something herbal or a change in diet would help.
I really hope you feel better soon.
