Success with Disability?

Hi. My Fibro is severe enough now that going back to work (after cervical fusion with complications) is not possible. Has anyone been successful in being approved for disability payments? Any pointers when trying to get through the process? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have been denied twice and it is a very long process. Two years or more. My best suggestion is to find a lawyer who specializes in SSD and can help you through the process but like I said, be prepared to wait a long time.

I have had success through work and was on sick benefits first and now LTD for 1.5 years. It got to the point working where I couldn't take it anymore. I was off work more that at work and wasn't able to do the job I was supposed to do. I was crashing and if something wasn't done, I wouldn't be writing this now. It takes a toll on you. You need to let them know exactly what it is like, what you are going through, what you can or can't do, and what you think.
