I feel 80 year old women can get out of bed faster than me. So a little over a 2 months ago my test can back okay my rana was low she said and it was probaly because I was in pain from the pelvic mass I had needed removed at the time. well its removed and my body still ache infact the bladder spasms still is going on. Today I got my neck x-rayed and she said it was fine they tell me if I don't test positive for anything I can't see a specialist because medicaid will not pay for it. She put me on naproxen..... I am not crazy I hurt
Someone please help me figure out what should I do?

I am sure you are not crazy. Some symptoms for FMS do not have "positive" symptoms. And sometimes it can just take awhile for test results to show something. I hope the doctor can figure out how to get things paid for you.

To be honest I don't there Dr. is that concerned, with my health at all as far as my pain yes and as far as the problem since they don't see it they don't care I feel.

I know exactly how you feel... some stupid doctors even suggested I should see a psychiatrist! I had to see several doctors before I could finally get the fibro diagnosis. I've been suffering of neck pain for a couple days now. It was funny when the doctor suggested an x-ray... what are they expecting to find there? They could never see a thing, according to them I was just a drama queen with a medical archive thicker than the one of a 76 year old woman! Yup, a doctor said those exact things! I felt so bad... they make you feel like you're such a fool who wants to get their attention.

Hang in there :) I know it's hard, but you need to be patient and find a good doctor that truly gets you. Try to find someone with experience treating patients with fibro. You should be fine after you find the right doctor.

Choose another doctor, first. She may be nice but you need someone of action who will stand up for you and your disease. Believe me, I know what it feels like to be crazy but deep down, I am sure I'm not! You feel that way too--I can tell!
Don't take any of this lying down. There are disability lawyers that do not require money up front, will take a cut. Look into this, an interview does not commit you.
I know you probably feel so crappy, you don't have the energy to pursue this but do try!

thank you all for responding I do feel so sick and tired of being sick but fighting the fact to prove to a NURSE PRACTIONER that I am feeling horrible and not getting it. I mean wants to be poked and examed like some kinda lab rat just for the heck of it I am really sick.

How about asking people in your community for a Doctor reference? That way you'll know who is the best person in your area to see. A lot of the Doctors in my area have bad reputations that I would never have known about unless I asked around. In the meantime I would self-medicate.

Get a second opinion. That's the most important thing for you to do at this point. Of course you're not crazy. No one knows how you feel but you. Don't let a doctor make you feel like your pain or concerns aren't valid.

Another thing, just because your tests come back normal doesn't mean that something isn't amiss. Don't let them pull that crud on you. When I first got sick, I got a lot of that too, until about 6 months in and my blood work started to come back with significant problems. I also have spondylosis in the lower back and stenosis, which is basically arthritis in my back and narrowing of my spine. My problems started when I was 19 years old. I'm 37 years old now. It literally took 15 years for my back problems to show up on an MRI.

If you are having problems they need to take you seriously, and if they can't, go to someone else.

They do not care; I'm convinced of that. I even cried in front of one of my rheumo's and he sat there like a toad. I was mortified; I am no cryer. This same toad gave me an MRI but when I asked about the results he said "we don't do anything for this kind of back problem." I never gave it another thought and then, I met my new rheumo. He sent me to a spine dr. said I have stenosis, narrowing, in my back. Is that why my back and hips hurt so damn bad?
So, if I lived till mid October, I willl see a spine dr. and hear what he has to say. If all this pain, five years of it, could have been fixed or avoided, I will be mad!

Pinkypoo38, I think just about everyone with Fibromyalgia went through some sort of "am I crazy" stage. For me it's that my toes do some pretty weird things because of my Fibromyalgia. Of course it would never do those things in front of a doctor on demand. My other symptoms were more "normal" to Fibromyalgia and I was finally able to get a proper diagnosis. Unfortunately, it was relatively new at the time or at least in the beginnings of becoming a household name and so it took a bit. Many get diagnosed with something like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but actually have Fibromyalgia as chronic fatigue is one symptom. I also think that different people get different symptoms on top of the "normal" ones. For me it's my toes.

You don't seem crazy at all, in fact, you seem quite rational.

I can't recall the number of doctors that I ended up having to see. My own family doctor accused me of faking and that I just wanted to get out of going to school. Needless to say, once I finally got my diagnosis from a specialist, I returned to this doctor, and informed him that I was switching to another one.
