Ever heard that song they sung.when the drugs don't work.
Well mine didn't today and the break through pain was unreal.i was just stunned .i went from doing OK to walking like a cripple.
The bit that makes me mad is its my body doing it to me.

Could it be the pain from walking up the mountain has just kicked in? I know from my own experience and from what i have read after extra activity it can take 48 or even 72 hours for the pain to hit.
