I hate being told this, too... doctors, nurses, dentists... they all seem to think that people should be able to "relax" at will. Some people just have "white coat syndrome" and telling yourself that you're going to "stay calm" simply doesn't work because it's not the kind of thing we're able to control.

Yeah, actually it stresses me even more when they do that. Because sometimes I'm calm and relaxed, but they like to pretend they can see what's going on inside my mind that very moment. So they often assume I'm either stressed out or scared and I need to relax. Yeah, like telling you to relax actually had effect on you, right?

Ah... this week I've to see two different doctors... I hate going to the doctor... last time I saw that doctor I left her office sobbing uncontrolably. Long week... can't wait until this is finally over!

During my last severe flare up ( 2 days ago) I for the first time got the thigh fatigue and ache. I am a male, so I can't talk about whether or not cycles have anything to do with it. It seems that my flare ups differ some each time, the last one was the absolute worst so far. It lasted about 24 hours and the last 2 days has been back to the daily hip pain that is always there.

I just started diving and have found that when I am in the water and 30 feet or deeper, it is like I don't have it. I have heard that compression therapy could be a help, I just wish a could find a way for someone to foot the bill for me to dive in warm water daily :)

Wow, nvdiver! That sounds awful! Thigh pain is awful, mine also last 1 to 2 days... but strangely enough, it doesn't take happen with every cycle! Very odd, sometimes I wonder whether this is fibro related or not! But the pain is so... it's so hard to describe it... is like having menstrual cramps, very menstrual cramps all over your thighs!

I hope you find a way to continue diving :) It's great you don't feel pain while you are doing that, a great reason to do what you love and enjoy it even more, isn't it? ;)

Glad to know you're feeling better now :) That kind of pain is really tough, by the way... mine had nothing to do with my cycle. It must have been fibro acting up in a very weird and painful way. There is always a pain here and there everyday, today was the turn of my wrists and the palm of my hands :p

I'll try soaking in a bath like that next time ;) I thought that kind of remedies were useless, but your comment intrigued me.

Someone mentioned Epson salts to me when my wrists were really painful. I put some in a dishpan and soaked them for 10 minutes 3 or 4 times and the pain was gone. I never would have thought of this but it sure worked.

Omg! Thank you for sharing this! I'll definitely get some epson salts! I might order this from Ebay asap (since I have never seen those over here). Having wrist's pain is awful... I guess this can work with your fingers as well, isn't it?

Your not the only one mate, for some reasons my thighs hurts and like you, I have trouble standing up without feeling a funny sensation in my body.

I have consulted a specialist and thank god it is nothing!

But all the best to you and I hope it is nothing as well!

Thanks, MegaZero! I swear the weirdest things happen to me... I have the weidest set of symptoms ever! I'm so used to this I no longer get scared when something like this happens. Right now I'm worried about a lump on my gums... actually several! I have several bone tumors (benign) right in my palate... so I'm crossing my fingers those lumps are actually like those in my palate.

it sounds like it might be stress.should be try getting a back massage.
