Hello everybody :)

I'm getting tests done
currently but I thought I would
write down my symptoms just to see if anyone is similar issues as myself..!
Please excuse the poor punctuation and randomness as I was just making notes in my iPhone then decided to paste them into here..!

My symptoms
Since my early 20's. I'm now 41.

Constant dehydration
Constant urination
Indigestion constantly.
Bloating after meals
Hemroids
Allergies to dust mites, egg white, cats and dogs
Sensitive to light. But found out I have almond shaped eye's
Fatigued
Deap sleeper. Wake up drained.
Wake up with very stiff body aching muscles and ligaments. Takes hours to loosen up even with stretching before and after sleep.
My best sleep is probably between 7 to 9 in the morning. Only time I will remember a dream.
Body aches and pains list:-
-neck. Always stiff
-shoulders. supraspinatus pain
-lower back. Constant spasms especially if I miss some stretching
-hips
-knees
-at times I wake up with new pains caused from nothing. Eg. Pain in ankle like I've twisted it injuring the muscle or ligament.
-I've injured my rib cartilage at least half a dozen times in my life. Most recently from the most minimal movement. Has always made me wonder if my cartilage was weak.
-heel pain. Even with orthotics and stretching plus glute exercises
-body joints need constant cracking to keep loose.
-headaches. Migraines that start with a blind spot first
-jaw pain. Comes and goes
-grind my teeth at night
I'm pretty much a Nurofen junkie..!
Unsteady on my feet. Very clumsy!
Very poor memory
Sometimes I can't recognize familiar surroundings.
Have trouble finding easy known words.
Brain takes a while to kick into gear at times. Have trouble in large groups of people with back ground noise hearing and mostly comprehending anything anyone says. My brain feels like it doesn't work fast enough to keep up !
Depression
Irritability
Mood swings
Anxiety
Can not handle stressful events of any kind. I avoid them like the plague!
I get exhausted standing for long periods and body pains become overwhelming. Eg. At weddings etc
Morning nausea feeling, till I've eaten. No way I could start a day with out breakfast.

Lately
When thyroid was out of balance due to lithium.
It's now slowly returning to normal:

-during times of severe fatigue I feel very disorientated.
Unsteady on feet
Brain seems to work even slower.
A conversation is even more difficult
Feeling of falling at times..! Weird!
Blurred vision
Too cold at times
Too hot at times

Whoa, some of your symptoms sound a lot like main, specially the ones related to your brain and the aches! Are you seeing a rheumatologist? If you are, then you are well on your way to find the truth, I only hope you are seeing a good one, you'd be surprised to hear how many doctors I have seen in the past that were actually decent and diagnosed me accurately.

I've had leg spasms at night since I can remember. I never thought a lot about it to be honest. I thought it was normal... I'm glad you are taking this well, not everyone can go undiagnosed for so long without worrying excessively.

We have a lot of similar symptoms!

As for the constant urination, I actually found a solution. My naturopath has the same issue, and so he really understood what to do for me. Water is too thin for us to absorb - it goes right through the kidneys and this irritates the bladder. I felt like I had to pee every 5 minutes, even if only the tiniest amount came out. Water also bloated me a lot since I wasn't absorbing it well. So the solution is that I add a mineral/ electrolyte powder to everything I drink to make it thick enough to absorb. Natural spring water contains all these minerals, but the majority of them are filtered out when the water is bottled. Tap water is the worst, as all essential minerals are processed out of it. Adding the mineral powder to my water has totally solved my issues. Now, liquid only bloats me when I drink too much too quickly. I have a really bad habit of drinking 2-3 cups of tea every morning, and I drink each cup within about 10 minutes. I've had to learn to drink one cup slowly. The mineral powder is something I buy directly from my doctor (he makes his own supplements,) but I think you can by mineral powders elsewhere. The main ingredient in the powder should be magnesium, and it should have vitamin c as well.

As for the stiffness you're describing, have you been to a chiropractor? I go 3 times a month for an adjustment, and it makes a HUGE difference for me. It's incredibly helpful. Acupuncture also helps substantially, but it's helping a lot more now that I've been going regularly for a while. It took a couple months of regular sessions before I noticed big changes. Massage has also been necessary for me, even though it can be painful and unpleasant. Stretching just isn't enough for me, and I really need the massage to loosen up my muscles, which releases my jaw and neck pain.

Have you checked your blood sugar and blood pressure? You sound hypoglycemic, like me. I have to avoid all sugar, no matter what (I can't even have fruit,) and I have to eat high protein snacks every 2 hours. It's the only way for me to stay stable. My blood sugar was below 80 really often (meaning hypoglycemia,) but on top of that, I'm fighting chronic fatigue. As long as I manage my hypoglycemia well, the chronic fatigue is the only reason I'm tired during the day, and it's easier to deal with than the hypoglycemia.

Would you consider taking sleeping herbs at night? Sleep is so important to managing health. I have to take sleeping herbs in order to suppress my adrenal gland and anxiety enough to calm down so I can sleep. Again, I'm taking ones directly from my naturopath, but you could start by taking 4-5 valerian root pills a night with one melatonin pill. I took valerian root alone before seeing my doctor, and it was helpful, though the compound pills he has me on now are much stronger.

As for all the testing... good luck! Blood tests won't pick up on fibromyalgia. In fact, most chronic illnesses can't be found through blood tests, but every doctor I went to would only examine my condition through blood tests. I had about 5 doctors tell me I'm "the golden image of health," meanwhile I couldn't get out of bed and my pain was severely out of control. My naturopath (who is a specialist in chronic conditions) took a very different route to diagnose me. He looked in my eyes, poked my stomach, and took my pulse. He was able to determine all my issues through these methods (and he didn't know a thing about me when he examined me - he had no clue what I had come in for, and he told me to stay quiet and not say a word until after the examination.) I trust him, and I think his methods make WAY more sense than western medicine.

I've had leg spasms for about 10 years already as well and eventually I just got used to it. I would always think it's because I'm tired or I didn't drink too much water, but I never really thought it would be related to fibromyalgia in any way. I really think I need to have my symptoms checked before it's too late.

I'm not too sure what maybe causing your symptoms but have you have heard of "Candida Overgrowth", it's probably something you can look into.
I was somewhat in a similar situation as you, reading through some of your symptoms and have gone to EVERY kind of doctors
with no luck, I didn't find any answers, until I've done my own research myself online. I've done Anti-Candida diet & I also take Anti-Candida supplements

You should do some research on it. It's worth taking a look at.

I take Organic Virgin Coconut oil & Olive leaf Extract along with the diet, and it has done a tremendous positive changes in my health.

Goodluck dear. Don't give up. You'll find your answers :)

Thankyou for all your kind advice. It's much appreciated.
I started seeing a naturopath and she is saying I definitely have a leaky gut, candida and ibs that she is treating first then on to all the other symtems. I'm very happy I found this naturopath...!I still want see a rheumatologist though to get there opinion. Also to see if they can do a 18 tender points test on me. I done some research about it and performed the test on many healthy friends and they were fine. As for myself these points on my body are quite painful. Is there anyone else out there that def has these tender points...?

Once again thankyou for your emails..:)

Kind
Regards
Dennis

Wow that is a lot of symptoms! I would definitely keep seeing a doctor to get a proper diagnosis. It could be multiple issues. I am bipolar, have fibro, arthritis, several vitamin deficiencies, Celiac Disease...ok that's all I can remember lol. I hope you feel better!

I could definitely see some of that being fibro, those symptoms are very familiar. But you also mention Lithium which I also have experience with. I was on Lithium for several years and that inability to remember words, that foggy brain, etc. is absolutely a Lithium side effect. I don't know how long you have been on it but for many people it gets better eventually. For me it never got completely better, it seemed to join forces with fibro fog! Also, once I was diagnosed with fibro I did a total med wash and don't take anything more than I have to anymore which also cleared up about 100 weird symptoms. When you start to get a gigantic list of symptoms like that, if you also have a gigantic list of meds/supplements you are taking it might be time to consider a reset.

Man! That list is really making me consider going to get checked out. I am constantly dehydrated and I am always having head aches. I guess I have been to scared to find out if I have it. My father has it, and it scares the living daylights out of me.
