Hi All!
I'm having a terrible time with blurred vision (more particularly in one eye) the muscles around eye also feel weakened.
Has anyone experienced vision issues with fibro and if so, have you been able to treat it at all?

Thanks for any advice

My vision gets wonky when I am tired and worn out....when I am sore and in a flare. My eyes get dry too.

I do have some astigmatism so I think flares just magnify it.

Sorry, haven't tried to treat it, it's just another fibro thing for me...maybe a sign I'm overdoing things ?!?!

Me Too When I'm stressed or tired. The muscles around my eyes also get a lot of pain.

I don't treat it either as for me it is just another fibro symptom. You could see an optician for an eye check and advice though.

I have cataracts and got them ridiculously young at 38 for no reason. So maybe get it checked if your worried.

My eyes sometimes hurt too! It a very strange feeling. Usually it is a sign that I am extra sensitized

I am slightly farsighted. It never bothered me much unless I had to read tons of tiny print. But just before I got diagnosed I started needing to wear reading glasses a lot of the time. Then I needed stronger reading glasses, and now trifocals. I can't even focus my eyes to read without aid. My eyes always used to be so good. Maybe it's just how my eyes change as I age. Maybe the muscles that focus my eyes are tired and sore because of fibromyalgia. Could be both.

Thanks all.

I just got reading glasses a couple months ago (diagnosed shortly after) and already they aren't working as well. I've always had perfect vision, but at almost 46 I chalk it up as age, at least for the reading.

And, yep DK, BUT now I can't focus at any distance near or far. It's like I'm always walking around in a haze.

I'm so frustrated!! Oh, and yea I'm alot more short fused as well. I'm just always snipping and snapping and just such a crank to be around.

My vision is getting worse. I just got glasses a few months ago (bi-focal) and my vision is already fuzzy at times. I also have hydrocephalus so I need to keep an eye on the pressure behind my eyes. Never a dull moment!

The vision in my right eye has gotten worse and I get extreme shooting pains in the muscles around my eyes which moved to my jaw and face. If I don't get enough sleep or I'm overly stressed the vision in that eye goes wonky. It's a little concerning. But I've had it checked by every doctor I've seen and they say it looks normal. Oh, and and 2 specialists. I'm pretty sure it's damaged but healing.
