I will be seeing my doctor next week. I will be bringing my entire list of supplements and meds and will request 2 things:
1. A nutritionist to ensure I am correctly supplementing myself (and not overdosing on something).
2. Blood tests to see how I am doing.
So the question is WHAT tests should I be requesting? E.g., Vitamins? Minerals? Hormones? Which ones?

Which tests do YOU usually ask for? Thank you!

ummm... all of the above?

seriously tho.. B vitamins, vit D, magnesium, selenium, Iron (ferritin).. a standard automated chemistry panel (that will give you things like potassium, calcium, glucose & sodium, amongst other things)
Hormones - a lot depends on if you have hit menopause yet or not.. all they would test for me in that regard was FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) but I am past menopause, too.

anyone else have anything to add??

I was peri-menopausal pre-covid, but the vaccines stopped all that nonsense. It's crazy. So definitely need to look at hormones.

i went thru it the year or so before all that - the hot flashes (or as my mother called them, "power surges") were actually the worst.. so hot so fast that I felt like i was going to pass out at times.. by the time covid came around things were settling down.

but yeah.. definitely get Vit D checked.. mine was astonishingly low.. average low is 30 ng/mL - mine was down to 8!

Hehe, that's why I chickened out of being the first to answer! 👐
When a centre for rare diseases checked me thru they took 11 tubes and came up with 5 pages of bloods in tiny print...
(This suggested Sjögren's and Hashimoto's or similar, both of which were then excluded with my specialists at home.)

Tests of course depend upon your symptoms, not mine.
I definitely agree with all @cookiebaker's suggestions as basics.
As regards hormones it's not just the sexual hormones, it'd be the thyroid ones: TSH, FT3, FT4, cortisol and ACTH.
Tests for ATP and serotonin would be great, but our normal ones can't measure the actual relevant concentration. However the P in ATP can be measured: that'd be phosphate, the surprising one that explained a good deal of my severe fatigue in the last weeks. (Serotonin I 'measure' by way of my bladder pain, focal seizures and histamine-y problems, and adjust my GABA intake accordingly which then confirms that.)

Going deeper I often get my enzymes (e.g. CK, LDH, gGT, GOT, GPT....) and in my case 'of course' lipids (LDL, triglycerides and lipoprotein (a)) and glucose checked, whilst CRP is the inflammation one it seems everyone should check regularly, at least mine is done every time.

My personal newcomers aside from phosphate are my CoV-antibodies (nearing zero) and various MCAS ones, incl. on an off chance copper, which turned out to be low, whilst zinc my GP recommended me to regularly take for inflammation, sort of its antagonist, I was right to want to get checked: It was too high and can then again cause problems. Same with B6: taking that for quite a while has rebounded, it's rocketed now (above 200, where max. should be 38!), which alone may not be that much of a problem, but together with phosphate deficiency it is. Whilst getting B12 5mg methylcobalamin injected s.c. every few months (originally weeks) makes those rocket (to 2x max.), but doesn't matter, easily shed (& cheap). I'll be starting again after a 6 month break as that's dropping to the lower end again.

Supp lists and docs: Mine don't know much about my (47) supps. I might be trying an alternative practitioner soon that knows more than them, praps than me. Never tried a nutritionist, hope yours is good!

Difficult to answer. 1 blood test only.
