Hi, this is my first post here and I found the group by googling "tingling in face." i have had tingling in my arms, legs and face for about 6 years. It just suddenly started and didn't go away. It's gotten progressively worse but I do yoga, tai chi and other forms of exercise and I also eat an extraordinarily healthy diet, all in hopes of stemming the tide of whatever this is.

My question is, since this is my only symptom, could I still have fibro? I have had physicals, tests through a neurologiest, been to chiropractors and acupuncturists but no one can give me a diagnosis (except possibly some form of neuropathy). I've tried everything natural and won't take medications.

I do a lot of research and I just feel like if I knew what this was, maybe I could find some natural ways to heal it.

Does anyone else suffer from tingling and numbness alone?

Thanks so much.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us. I have had some odd tingling in my face and neck, at random times, but not all the time. I am glad to see that you saw a neurologist, as many muscle diseases have notable problems with tingling and numbness. May be your next step is to is a rheumatologist. This is the type of doctor who has more experience with fibro and other forms of arthritis. Have you been checked for diabeties or thyroid disorders?

Do you have any other symptoms?

Please read through all the back posts in the topic areas you have mentioned and may be something will give you a clue toward management of these symptoms. If it is a form of neuropathy then you might need to use medications prescribed by your neurologist to control it. I wish I could be more help to you. :)

Thanks so much for your response. Yes, I have all normal labs for thyroid problems and diabetes and pretty much everything else. I don't really think I have any other symptoms except the tingling. I am 62 and really very healthy. That's why this is so mysterious.

Yes, I've visited the neurologist a few times but he has no real advice and doesn't know what it could be either. Maybe he thinks I'm imagining it.

I will read through the other posts and see if anything clicks.

I'm curious why you won't take any medications? Just a personal preference?

The tingling in the body could be a symptom, but probably best to consult with rhumatologist to ensure that you're on the right track.

To be honest I highly doubt you have fibro, you should be happy about that :) But you are doing the right thing trying to find the reason behind that numbness and body tingling. There are a few diseases our there that cause those symptoms, hopely you can get a clear diagnosis soon.

Tingling can be part of Fibro. At least it is for me. I do not have it all over my body. But there are many places where I experience tingling. I tend ot have it in my feet and hands.

I have doubt you have fibro but just to be on the safe side, I REALLY recommend to consult a specialist or doctor because if it really is, it may be devious.

Hopefully it is nothing and I hope you are fine.

All the best! Be sure to update us!
