Wondering if I have Fibromyalgia !

I have a lot of issues going on, I'm trying to find out what they are & if any of you have any of the same symptoms ....... please let me know if Burning in your hands & feet is one. Also I have burning lips & tongue ! I would lovee to hear from you all !

I think you can get burning sensations in your extremities. I'm not 100% sure though. I get burning sensations every once and awhile, that I don't attribute to anything. I also get the feeling like I'm being bit by an insect, quite often. Nerves are involved with fibromyalgia as well as other issues. I have a numb heel, which I believe is due to diabetic neuropathy. If I lie down on my back, I have to cross my legs because my heel cannot rest on the bed.

Anyways, I hope you get everything figured out. It's frustrating, not knowing what's going on with your own body.

Hey Marilyn! This is something you'll want to have checked... it's too difficult for anyone to say whether it's fibro or not... many things could contribute to what you mentioned, so it's better to know for sure. (I don't mean all big and scary things, either... even being low on B12 could be an issue... or a recent change in medications... a number of things) but it's nothing to guess about, so I'd really have it checked to be sure.

As Mariposa, said your symptoms could be lacking certain vitamins or minerals, or even diabetes could be considered. Your best bet would be to talk with a general family doctor and have some blood tests done. If that checks out okay, then try to see a rheumatologist. This is the type of doctor that can diagnosis fibro and also is alert to other types of bone and muscle, and other diseases.

It is better to get checked out and not guess what may or may not be wrong. Even some medication can cause side affects that can be painful in different ways. Please let us know how you make out. Also welcome to the forum.
