Hello newbie @Fibromum71 😊 welcome to the forum ☕ 🍪 we hope we can help in some way with hints and tips what’s worked for (and also exacerbated) our fibro (to see if it can make a difference) and even if it can’t you can still talk to us or have a vent and things

Well, I see no link to adding in my profile information - and no links to post a question or to "start a conversation"! I am very computer savvy but your layout baffles me. Sorry, thanks anyway - I guess I will have to keep searching elsewhere,

@Canyonbuff if you click on your profile picture (the purple c) your profile should come up with everything to put on it or change, also clicking on Fibromyalgia forums at the top on the page gets you the option of new thread (I’ve been here nearly a year and there are still some things I’m not sure how to do yet) hope this helps and welcome to the forum ☕🍪👍🏻

What meds are used for fibromyalgia
Broken2016
Broken2016
Previously on Lyrica and Endep. However, due to adverse side effects, I no longer take them. I am taking a mood stabiliser as i have complex PTSD, social anxiety and chronic depression.

Gabapentin, duloxetine, diclophenac, & buspirone here, also with a mix of other "issues" similar to Broken2016. There are other meds, I was switched twice before being prescribed duloxetine. One time it was Lyrica, and I agree, adverse side effects.
Needing some advice please..!!

Hi @qsj748, i found a really good you tube video by a Californian rheumatologist Andrew gross called fibromyalgia It’s real, it’s manageable, what you can do. He speaks about diet, exercise, pain management, tests to rule other things, mental health (the upset that comes with it) + helping a partner if they have it also welcome to the forum ☕🍰, ps i like your profile picture, it’s very pretty

Hi q,
Can't write what I wanted to here but something I think you will find useful now for energy, focus, and some pain killing when you need it is an herb called Kratom. I use both the red and the white "Maeng Da" Kratom. Just Google it and you will find loads of info.

Right now I feel I am in a flair because I have been moving things around remodeling my home and at school too. My legs ache so much. I also have cramping in my legs and feet too.As I am writing this my shins are so sore down them and I feel tingling down the back of my legs off I take a really good multi-vitamin every day and I just started Magnesium Complex .I would be interested in what you take daily.
Jaycs, what do you use as a protein instead of dairy? I don’t know if I wanna eat eggs anymore? do you take vitamins or stock up on seeds and nuts instead? 🌊🐳🌊

Jaycs, I’ve got more curiosity questions for you (you did say I can ask loads soooo) what do you take as a fish substitute for iodine ? do you take kelp or cod liver oil/vegan capsules? do you use flaxseeds and linseeds? Also when you reminding me of r.a.t.m other stuff I used to listen to clicked into my mind so I’ve been listen to skunk anansie all morning cleaning the house ( it helped motivate me) so ta

Hey again - too much I is bad, too. Mine seems OK. Also it's recommendable to lower it with tendency to Hashimoto/hypothyroidism. Corn salad and broccoli are things I eat anyway, if it were low I'd add kelp/algae. Flaxseeds/linseeds set my IBSD off, so I don't use them or their oil. Canola oil for salad, olive oil for cooking. Keep 'em comin' :p Skunk's great, motivation's great!

Does anyone have any feedback about CBD oil and fibromyalgia?

I’ve had zero luck with CBD oil you take orally. And I’ve paid for the top dollar ones. The topicals with cooling agents help a little. Wish I lived where CBD+THC was legal. Good luck to you.:)
Thankyou for accepting me, I am awaiting confirmation on my diagnose.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if throat pain is part of fibro?
I’m having so much pain, fatigue and dizziness that is making it very difficult to focus on anything.

Hi Millie, only just seen this - sorry, bit late. My "sore throat" is more a type of "allergic reaction" (histamine) than fibro. Praps start a thread on this?
Sometimes needing a more pure brand of the vitamins helps. It costs more but making sure your vitamin brands aren't filled with unnecessary stuff can help.

No, can't give that. Hope things have improved by now.
Have a nasty throat infection at the moment, triggered by the Saharan dust storm that hit Europe last week - it was a little crazy here! Please excuse the radio silence. Feeling cruddy 🤒

I'm sorry you're not feeling good & I hope you get better real soon.
Have you ever tried Throat Coat tea by Traditional Medicines? We recommend it to our patients when they have sore throats. It's best if you steep it for minutes to get the full effect of the Marshmallow Root (that coats the throat) with some good honey.

Take care Jemima!
