Hi I'm writing on behalf of my husband who has full blown Fibromyalgia. We are desperate to get help because his current doctor right now is only giving pills but we want a seconded opinion. Can we please see you, we have heard great things about you from a friend of ours.

Thanks,

Christine

Looking for support group for fibro folks.

Have now been waiting as of no 8 months to see Dr. Harth. My family doctor knows nothing about fibromyalgia so have had to be a self manager. Go day by day in so much pain and new simptons all time am confused and don't know how to handle all this. Not sure what the wait time is but hope an appointment opens up soon!

Dr. Harth is worth the wait. I waited almost a year to see him and it was worthwhile. He took his time to explain things to me and to tell me what I needed to do. I wish I lived in London  - I drove from Windsor to see him. A friend of mine with Fibromyalgia was fortunate enough to attend the Fibro Clinic that Dr. Harth was part of a few years ago. Unfortunately due to government health cut backs the clinic was closed but the Rheumatology Department recommended Dr. Harth.

I am going to request another appointment with him as it has been 2 years and my family doctor knows nothing.Even the Rheumatologist in Windsor advises that he is not a Fibro specialist.

For the first year I could even call and leave messages for Dr.Harth to answer or return calls. My quality of life is so far from what it was 2 years ago. Good Luck

Dr Harth is worth the wait. I waited 9 months and then drove from Windsor to London to see him. He came highly recommended as he used to be part of a Fibro clinic that ran out of St. Joseph Hospital. I was a mess 2 years ago and am much better now. I still have to get back on track with my walking. He prescribed Lyrica along with some daily living and sleeping recommendations.

My family doctor knows nothing about Fibro and the local Rheumatalogist just told me he is not a fibro specialist either. He was kind but does not have the experience or knowledge that Dr. Harth has. I now have more questions and will be requesting another appointment with Dr. Harth. He is also very comfortable to talk to - not like most specialists.

My mom has really bad fibro and now she has nerve damage In her left leg upper thigh. Her doctor prescribes gabapentyn and it's just not cutting it. She really needs a specialist before it gets even worse. Please help. Thanks Brittany Kiss

Great doctor to see for Fibromyalgia. Worth the wait. Very informative and made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions.

Confirmed my fibro after switching doctors. I was diagnosed with 12/18 pressure points.

Dr Harth was great. He said exercise is key. Many fibro patients can help themselves by training their bodies again to get back in shape. We are so busy being parents and with life we stop keeping our bodies healthy. We get to a point where we're tired because our bodies are so lazy it can't handle little bits of new hard work. Our bodies scream at us in pain and exhaustion but we assume there's a condition. I told him my theory was that I was just out of shape and he said that's the problem. You'll still be sore but you can force yourself to endure a bit of pain to keep your body healthy. You're sore anyway - might as well get heathy anyway:) I agreed. Many patients want to be victims sadly and refuse to try because of the pain. Yes it hurts, I can vouch but it's better than sitting on my ass popping pills and being stoned on the sofa. I do little push ups and squats at home and take the stairs at work during my break. I'm super sore for hours after but I have muscles on my arms for the first time in 30 years! And the outline of abs. I refuse to be a victim and taking Dr. Harth's advice makes me feel so much better. I'm teaching my heart and lungs again to take on exertion and I can now go to the beach with my kids without taking half an hour to get up 150 steps. He suggested starting in a pool but that's not me. I prefer the privacy of my home to help my body be better. I eat healthy and refuse medication. Baths and heat pads take the edge off. I need to work so I can't go on medications. I'm dealing with it the best I can and treating myself with respect for as long as I can. Take his advice. Exercise, just light at first. Train your body to be healthy again. You won't be tired from doing one load of laundry anymore..

i have been wait 19 MONTHS to see Dr. Harth and just called his office to check on my referral and they advised me that he is retiring at the end of March 2017 and will not see any new patients.  I cannot believe I have waited SO long to see this Dr and now have to start the process all over with a new referral to a different doctor..  my family physician is tired of listening to my complaints because she doesn't know what to recommend.  Dr. Harth retiring is devastating news to me.
