Thank you so much!!! I'll definitely keep searching now! I'm sorry about the herniated discs...incredibly painful and you have to be real careful looking up, down and sideways! The more you use your neck, the worse the pain, which I'm sure you know! I've come to the conclusion that most pcp's suck! My former pcp refused to write my prescriptions for Lyrica and Savella (pain management dr couldn't help anymore and he was an hours drive away), so I had to change my pcp. My new one, a woman, just told me there is nothing else they can do to help me...I would just have to learn to deal with it!!! Unreal!!!

    Good Luck and God Bless!!!

    Thank you again :-)))

I too am computer and software illiterate. The more you use the forum the easier it gets. To start a new thread just click at the top of a catagory on "new thread" title it, type the body then click submit. To join or respond to a post/thread just click on "reply" type your reply and click submit. Don't worry if you mess up its annonomous anyway! Lol. There is also a search bar you can click on and type in a key word to research through old post.

I have not responded well to meds either, gabapentin is what I'm sticking with for now and it does little. Allternative has helped far more. I also found out yesterday that an MRI. I had done back in December revealed 4 herniated discs in my neck that my pcp never bothered to inform me about so there could be my real problem!

Hang in there and keep searching for answers. We go through different seasons in life for different reasons. But there is always a change coming.

Thank you Eyesup!!! I am looking at the alteratives section...I'm currently on Lyrica, Savella and oxycodone (going off oxycodone because it doesn't help at all). I was told by my current doctor (3rd one) that there is no other medication for me to try, I've been on them all and they didn't help. She also told me that I have a "special case of fibromyalgia" and that I just have to deal with it day by day. I can't live with that!!! So I'm trying magnesium, vitamin D, etc. in the hope that one of them will help! I'm scared...it doesn't feel like this pain and overwhelming tiredness will ever end!

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum...you have no idea (you probably do) how much this finding this forum means!!! I just have to figure out how to do things on here..computer illiterate :-))) can type on them, but cannot figure out how to post...sad!

Hi Kim. Welcome to the forum. Sorry your going through a long period of what I call "10" days (as in on a scale of 1 to 10 how's your pain?)! I know the days and nights feel like the will never end and no one hears your cry. But it does get better. Finding the right med combination for you is crucial and takes time. I'm sure you've already checked out the alternative section and are getting some ideas but feel free to jump in.
I've noticed the forum seems a little slow right now, maybe the warmer weather has got people feeling better so it maybe slower getting responses.
Feel free to message me if you need. : )
