I did not want to explain why I won't see a chiropractor in the forum.
My c3 was ruptured. I have osteophytes growing into my spinal canal c3 through c5, compressing my spinal cord.
I won't see a chiropractor because the adjustments move the neck way out of its normal range. I already have arthritis and the adjustments are the sort of wear and tear that wears cartilage down, stimulating osteophyte growth.
I don't want existing osteophytes twisting around my spinal chord. I'm not all that comfortable with the risk of shearing either the tissues in and around osteophytes or shearing an osteophyte off to have it floating in the canal. A wrong move could compress the esophagus so much that I loose the ability to speak or eat normally.
Finally, the adjustments feel like going through a car accident. I think the body still reacts to the controlled adjustments the same way it reacts to an accident.
