I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia here recently. I'm trying to connect the dots with everything. I have a multitude of peculiar pains. I don't know what is related to fibromyalgia or not. Does anyone else have a sharp pinching pain in their legs and arms? I've even had it in my feet. I've been going through a "flare up" these past couple of days and I'm noticing these sharp pains even more. My memory has been relatively worse lately as well. Also my body is vey creaky. My bones tend to pop a lot. It is quite painful too.

Welcome!
All I can say is the popping makes me mental, as this condition has worsened the popping comes from ALL over. Seriously crazy, never had that before. knees, ankles, back, arms, wrists...Dr has no clue or explanation about that one. The pain is the common factor here. My legs, hips, back, arms...on & on. It fires off alone or in unison. Havent figured out why its so unique on some days and then all out complete body on others. The feet get so bad on some occasions that it feels like im walking on little pieces of glass. Sucks really. When in pain real bad my brain is overloading with so much info that Im a absent minded wing nut.

Hello

I just joined this a few minutes ago. Pretty interesting. No, you are not the only one. Today has been a terrible day for pain and feeling like I've been beat up all over. I am noticing I seem to get worse with cold and it is COLD today. Sleeting and only going to get worse as the day goes on, but I have the same symptoms. I feel like the doctors and people in general are thinking I'm crazy. I have had all kinds of blood tests, xrays, medicines, specialist seems like in all areas and still have more appointments. My next stop is the neurologist and back to the sleep clinic. This started almost 4 years ago and it whammied me over night. I used to be on the go and nothing stopped me, but now I hardly do anything because I hurt all of the time with more than one or pain issues. My nerves are in constant tingling, numbing and prickling mode. Never stops. My muscles are achy and tender feeling I have to have help getting up. I am chronically fatigued and that hurts too. it's like if I keep moving it lightens up some, but I am so tired that I just want to sleep and then I'm back to feeling horrible if I sit or lay down. I am a upbeat person, but I have to admit it is hard to be a lot of the time. Okay, I hope you feel better knowing that you are not alone with all of the new issues arising. I hope and pray that science figures this out soon. I will be praying for you.:)

The constant popping drives me crazy. Yes! The cold makes it so much worse. I live in Indiana and it is absolutely freezing. Not to mention I work in a non heated warehouse. I'm glad to see I'm not going crazy. It seems like I've been noticing my symptoms more since the diagnosis. What medication are you on to help pain?

Praying you guys get a relief from time to time.

Cold is your enemy , even over heating can make fibro flare! It's really hard to regulate your body temp, but keeping warm will lower the stiffness... The popping noise is horrible, I get it in my shoulder and neck and knees and back ha ha ha everywhere! If I taped microphones to all my joint I would be a class act for body beat bopping or whatever it's called lol...

Haha. Everyone calls me barbie legs. Since my knees crack every time I squat or pretty much move. My joints hurt worse than my muscles. Funny thing is I didn't notice pain anywhere, but my knees for a while. I went to the doctor thinking my knees need surgery. Then she asked me if any of my other joints hurt and as I went to say I don't think so she squeezed right above my elbow and I yelped like a dog. I of course had pain everywhere, but I was more focused on the pain in my legs. I had excuses for why I hurt so I never thought to bring it up.

the poping is not a good thing at all. think of what is causing that noise? like my shoulder. it was poping too. then it wore out the rotator cuff and my arm would no longer stay in the socket. hurt like hell. i had to have surgery to put it back in and repair the cuff. please be careful.

I had X-rays done on my knees. To my surprise they were fine. With the pain I was feeling I thought something was wrong with my knees for sure. I've told my doctor about the popping. Even told her that my knees tend to pop as I go up and down stairs then one of them gives out and I fall down. I've fallen down a lot of stairs. She didn't seem to concerned for some reason.

hmmm knee gives out....falling down..... sounds like a new doctor is needed. knees dont just give out (come out of socket).PCP's don't know knees. as mine told me, i cant help you with your lupus,SFN,FM,neck and back issues. we are GP's here. if you have cold, flu or general stuff we can help. but your other stuff is for specialists. if we don't treat things people have, we send them to the ER or a specialist. just passing on what i learned from my PCP.
