I can't understand how steroid shots or pills help fibromyalgia..although great if it does

I am interested to know why the doctors prescribe or give them as i thought fibromyalgia wasn't anything to do with inflammation.

Do your doctors explain their thinking to you guys when talking about these meds.
 
Managing pain is something vital with this disease as pain can be a constant. How to minimize it's effects can really improve our life quality.
 
Even if fibro has nothing to do with inflammation, injections can help. When your muscles are in constant spasms, trigger points form. 10 years ago I got a 3-week release from horrible neck and shoulder pain with one steroid/lidocaine injection. Different things help different people.

I'm all for doing whatever it takes to get relief, including drugs or pot. It's far better than spending days in bed.
