Default Weird Muscle Weakness with CFS?

Hi All-

Iíve been having a strange symptom lately and wondered if any of you could tell me if this is a familiar thing with your CFS.

About two months ago, started waking up in the mornings feeling my legs were weak and shaky on the inside...nothing I could physically feel outside. It would usually last all day, but at times would randomly go away for a few hours or half a day. That has been consistent for two months. Then, about 2 weeks ago, I started getting numbness and tingling in my left leg and my right forearm and hand (first my leg for 4h, then my arm a couple days later for an hour or two). After that, my leg numbness and tingling has returned once for a couple hours...but my hand and forearm has remained feeling weak and different. It feels like after your hand falls asleep and starts to wake up...kind of slow and harder to move. Iím able to move it and use it fine, but the feeling is very odd. As a side note, my arm continues to fall asleep several times a night when I sleep with my usual hand under my pillow position (which has never happened before). So, I donít know if my hand feeling is reacting to having that happen all night. 🤷🏼*♀️ Anyone had this with CFS? Especially, located to one or two extremities?

I don't know if your describing the same thing but I get these weird inside feelings too, it feels like small electrical pulses from inside my body almost like I'm shaking but when I look in physically not moving at all. My arm goes to sleep under my pillow too. It's a strange feeling but they tell me it's just part of the fibro/cfs.

Default Re: Weird Muscle Weakness with CFS?

Muscle weakness has many causes including:
Overexertion and injury (from aching muscles to rupture of a muscle fiber, e.g. due to sports)
Wrong or unhealthy diet (lack of minerals and vitamins)
Accidents or disorders weakening the patient’s body, confining them to bed and causing immobility (e.g. stroke, infections or injury of the cruciate ligament in the knee, meniscus, spinal disk and back problems, hip surgery)
Denervation can cause muscle atrophy due to non-use, e.g. incomplete tetraplegia, peripheral nerve damage (after accident, surgery) – muscles weaken
Psychological disorders, e.g. depression
Other causes may be certain drugs, alcohol, anemia, muscle and nerve damage caused by toxins, metabolic disorders (e.g. thyroid hypofunction), and circulatory disorders.

Muscle weakness may, however, also be a symptom of disorders such as:
Myositis
Muscle disorders (e.g. muscle dystrophy)
Neural disorders (e.g. polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ALS)
Virus infections (polio)
Myasthenia gravis pseudoparalytica (abnormal muscle weakness, autoimmune disorder – disturbed signal transmission between muscle and nerve)
Herniated disk
