How do you get people to take you serious about your pain

With all due respect, your boss sounds like an *******. Don't bother wasting your time with him. And don't try and hide your pain. Let me him know that he can shove it, you have a condition that's real and you need to demand his respect.

Yeah! You said it, he doesn't have to believe you, but that doesn't mean that he can disrespect you. He can put it where the sun don't shine, we all know the pain is real. Don't even give your boss the time of day.

Hello. I am so sorry to hear about your trouble getting someone to believe you about your pain and take you seriously. I went through the same problem, in the begging, with my boss and even my family doctor. They would tell me that I was just being a big baby basically. But, the reality was I was truly suffering. So, I found a better job. I work from home as a customer support specialist for AT&T and I found a specialist who cares and take a comprehensive approach to treating our disease. Again, this may not have been what you wanted but, hearing someone elses similar struggle can allow us to find our own solutions. I wish you the best of luck. :)

I would love to know how to make people understand how bad the pain is. My problem is that my pain is made worse by the air vents at my work place that constantly blow on me year round. I get to play "thermostat wars" with my co-workers and one of them actually told me she was tired of hearing me gripe about being cold. Wish she could feel the pain and then she would know why.
