Just got a few blood results back, lab messed up 2 of my 8 viles though. Anyone else hear about this MTHFR gene mutation? MTHFR produces enzymes from B vitamins, Folic Acid, I think. First i've ever heard of it, apparently it's very prevelant, something around 60 percent of population has a small mutation, however a much small percentage has a MTHFR that only functions at 10 or 20 percent. Anyway was just told mine is only working at 10 percent? Very confusing pbviously. Did a quick look up and there is a high correlation between the MTHFR gene mutation and Fibromaylgia, as well as other diseases. Any input?

Would that mean extra folic/B's might help or that we can't process it anyway?

If you put mthfr in the search bar, you will come up with a number of posts that include this. Take a look at the oldest one, "what worked for us" as someone else has a family member with this mutation(?) and what they are using
