Hi Everyone,
My name is AJ. I am 31 yrs old mother of 3 from Australia.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue and Osteo Arthritus when I was 18. For the first four years I was real bad I even had to use a walker. Then I had my first born. My daughter. For the past 10 years I've felt completely fine. No walker, stopped the medications while I was pregnant with her and never felt the need to go back on them. I did have the odd flare up every now and then but nothing too major.
Now, 10 years later after having my last baby (all three were through csection, but the last one I also got my tubes done during the csection) who is 5 & 1/2 months old. For the past 2 months I have had major flare up again. Some days are worse than others. Today, I'm not feeling so good. Couldn't sleep a wink last night so now I'm paying for it. So sore all over I can barely walk today. My whole body gets affected, neck, shoulders, lower back, arms knees down to my feet. Some times half of my arm from my hand to my elbow or half my leg from my foot to my knees on either side will go completely numb for a few minutes and then I'll get pins and needles goin up and down them. Feels so weird. Sometimes my hands will shake uncontrollably and I get muscles spasms/ twitches that I can't stop til it stops on it's own. My fear is one of these things will happen while I am holding my baby son. if I am sitting down it won't be so bad but if I am standing up, I am terrified of dropping him. And on top of having Fibro, I have now been diagnosed with tendonosis in both wrists my right is worse than the left and of course unfortunately for me, I'm right handed. Which makes it hard for me to write and do everyday little things because the tendons in my thumb and wrist are inflamed. Yay for me! Some days I feel so old! And I'm only 31. I think it's time to find a specialist in Fibromyalgia which leads me to my question. Does anyone know of any good specialist in Adelaide, South Australia who can help me?
