Has anyone been injured when the doctor
Did the Tendor Point test? My doctor squeezed my elbowife during test (had no pain prior) and ever since my elbow feels extreme pain and it has gone down my arm and even into my hand. I went back 3 weeks later and he could have cared less. Ughhh. No I need an Ortho

I had my test done exactly a week ago and I'm still feeling the pain.

I wasn't expecting it to be so painful and just to show me how it should feel for someone without fibro; he did the same test on my mom and SHE said it was uncomfortable but not painful. Every point shot pain through my body. It was terrible!
Now I understand why it hurts me so much for my cat to lay on my tummy- but doesn't hurt my mom, dad or brother.
I'm just much more sensitive thanks to fibro.

Yes!! I was crying before I was out of the room...and knowing that the pain would increase as the day/days went on made it all the worse. It's strange because I feel, with Fibro, a lot of things hurt more AFTER. As if we're paying for something. Then again - just my skin can be painfully sensitive to the touch, so I guess it goes both ways.

And yeah - the doctor didn't seem bothered by it. He called it "aches and pains" at some point. I WISH it was just "aches and pains."

Hows your elbow Sarafina and the arm pain after the doc prodded you about?

Willow, it's awful. I can barely lift. Not even a cup of tea. Thisright calf is really freaking me out. Also it's the same sides the elbow injury and same side as neck pain....and today it looked like the right shoulder was even lower thanthe left. What on earth??

8 yrs ago I was seeing a rehab specialist for pain, this was prior to being told I have fibro, I think he had saspicians I may have Fibro, because he pushed on my back in this one spot, and it sent me to tears, I was embarresed because I was generally scared. I said what the heck was THAT? You know he never said anything.I also couldnt stand a hug from one particular friend, She would hug me to tight, I couldn't figure out why she was so rough, yep fibro.

That happened to me once with my Chiropractor, I heard a very familiar sound and pain on my right side, felt like a broken rib, probly Fibromyalgia. I did not blame him how was he to know? But......in the same token, I wish I'd shared the Dr.s info, I was still learning.

I too was crying from the tender point test. However I was already having the elbow pain and all that goes with it. It was my lower body that didn't hurt (I didn't notice real pain anyway). Until she pushed on the spots. It triggered everything pekoe the wais, it didn't get better until all my gabby and supplements kicked in.
I hope your doing better by now.

I had to get them to stop some tests not just the tender point.....i knew i would be in intolerable pain if they yanked my body around the way they wanted to 'test it'. Rolling the shoulders vigorously yanking my arms around....i instinctively went into protection mode and couldn't give away control of my body.

The doctor made me look a fool as if i was over reacting and kept saying hurt doesn't mean harm over and over...well it wasn't her body to hurt or harm and she wasn't going to harm mine and give me more pain!
