Hi,
I've just joined. For several years I've had doctors, massage therapists, chiro's etc mention I could have Fibro. I didn't think much of it until my combined symptoms have become steadily worse. I'm not yet diagnosed and have no idea where to start.

My ongoing symptoms are:
Severe Restless Leg Syndrome and PLMD (diagnosed)
Fluctuations in BP
Constant leg tightness
Very tender in many pressure points all over my body
Afternoon lethargy (some days)
Chronically fatigued
Inflammation in joints requiring cortisone injection (shoulder and toe)
Steady weight gain
Anxiety and depression (this fluctuates)
IBS
Short term memory problems /brain fog?
Sometimes heaviness in my arms like a lead weight is attached
Chronic back pain.

Could this be fibro? I would appreciate any advice on my symptoms and where to start with a diagnosis.

Thanks so much.

Hi DeeTee, You certainly tick many of the boxes. Suggest you see your GP if you haven't already done so. Also make sure you are referred to a rheumatologist who manages/treats Fibromyalgia. They will be able to diagnose you accurately. If your GP cant recommend anyone google one yourself in your area or as close as possible to your home.
I hope you find good support as soon as possible.
Take care,

Thanks so much. I went for another round of blood tests just prior to Christmas, and will be following up shortly.

My GP seems open to sending me to a Rheumatologist so I'll take your advice and ensure it's to one who has fibro experience.
