Over three feet of snow this past week with another foot or more coming tomorrow. Just waded in waist high drifts to take water to the chickens. The day is bright and sunny, but it's 4 degrees at 9 am. I'm not sure where I'm going to put the snow for the coming storm as my snow bank is also over waist high. I shovel for 10 minutes and lay down for 20. By the time I get to the end of the deck and walk way, it's almost time to start again. If I waited til the end of the storms, I'd never be able to lift the shovel. Exhausted and hurt like crazy. Today is gonna be heating pad, rice pillows and hot showers and looking at the mess that is my house. At least the view out the windows is stunning.
