Hi All,

Just read an article that a new study is being done with 20 Fibromyalgia patients and 20 control patents in (UAB).
The study will be performed by Dr. Younger and his team. They will administer an ultra low dose of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) intravenously.
Which is a molecule that is found on the outside of infection causing bacteria. This may cause a hyper immune system response in the Fibro patients.

This will be performed in a hospital setting and blood draws will be done to monitor levels in all patients.

This can show that Fibromyalgia is truly from a malfunctioning immune system.Treatments such antinflammatories and other things used for RA and Lupus might work for Fibro.
And even some over the counter natural botanicals with certain properties could be possibly used.

If the fibromyalgia patients immune system reacts to the LPS IV solution, “it will leave no doubt in my mind that we know what is happening in fibromyalgia, and it’ll outline a distinct set of steps we can do within a few years to hone in on an effective treatment,” Younger said.

University of Alabama were looking for patients that live close and can travel.
The study should be finished in July of this year.

Will see what this study will show.
