Has anyone seen a neurologist? The more I research it appears overactive nerves are my issue. I have IBS which used to be called a nervous stomach. I did try a muscle relaxer for a couple of nights. Helped a little. I am scheduled to see another rheumatologist soon.

Yes most of us do.

I have seen many, and still do. I'm moving soon, so I might need to find a new one soon :( Which is good because the last one was not good. By the way, a lot fibro sufferers suffer from IBS as well... I think both of them are linked and originate in the brain, just like they believe IBS does. I do think the key is in the brain.

It is always a good idea to consult a neurologist when you are dealing with issues of fibromyalgia. There is a growing amount of research out there that links the two, and I know that where I work many of the patients have consults with neurologists. I am not exactly sure what comes from those consults in terms of specific treatments but I do know that it is in their treatment plan.
