I am wondering what doctor diagnosed you all? Was it a specialist? I am just looking to hear of people's experiences and compare to my own.

My primary doctor, who was a DO (Doctor of osteopathic medicine), initially diagnosed me. I asked for a second opinion, and a rheumatologist verified it. I insisted on a second opinion.

My primary family doctor suspected it but wanted to rule out other things so he had me see an endocrinologist. The endo couldn't find anything hormonal wrong but after an examination he diagnosed me with fibro. I wasn't sure how common it was for an endocrinologist diagnosis so I followed up with my family Dr and he agreed with him. The endo did the pressure point test so after some of my own research I was confident with his diagnosis.

My family doctor suspected it, I then asked him to give me a pass to see a rheumatologist. The rheumatologist is the one who diagnosed me in the end, since my family doctor was no specialist, but he suspected I could have fibro. However, it was the rheumatologist who confirmed it :)

My primary doc sent me to an internist who suspected fibro. The diagnosis was confirmed by a rheumatologist. This was after about four years of wandering pain, migraine, fatigue, cognitive issues, all increasing in intensity as time marched on. Looking back, I had many symptoms for much longer, but considered it part of aging. Silly me.

My primary suspected it, and the Rhuemotologist confirmed it. I just love her! She is so understanding and wants to make sure I am as pain free as possible.
