I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia within the last couple of years. Recently I've started researching and discovered that my first symptoms made a debut when I was in my 30's. I'm now 62. So much makes sense now. Saturday, I had my first eye related flare. More research and a general overwhelmed feeling. That's when I decided to seek professional help in the form of a specialist in Fibro. Searching led me here. I have a net of a very understanding and supportive hubby and daughter, but somehow still feel alone in this thing that attacks my body. Thank you for reading this somewhat rambling post.

Hello Lacelady. I'm also new. I hope that you find relief. I've lived with it undiagnosed for many years. I was finally diagnosed last June by a GP and am not very happy with his treatment program. He has me on Cymbalta,Meloxicam and Trazadone. The first few weeks were great but the pain is slowly progressing. Soon I'll be walking like a cripple again. Im going to look for a good rheumatologist, pain management clinic or someone that specializes in fibromyalgia. Good luck to you, you've made it this long so you must be doing something right.
