Hello
I have made a list of my ailments and daily problems, some of which I didn't realise I had been living with and just "getting on with it"
The list has 15 things on it which all seem to feature as a symptom of FM except - I do not have chronic all over pain!
Perhaps I should list my problems here and then please could someone tell me if it is possible to have FM without having the chronic pain.
Incidentally, I do have a very high pain threshold, so could this mask the FM pain? Here's the list;-
Extreme tiredness, falling asleep whenever sat down
Aching lower back and heavy legs after excertion
Painful hands
Burning hands, particularly left and forearm
Stiff muscles after being in one position
Losing balance, bumping into things
Very bad short term memory
Confusion sometimes, having to think which side of the road to drive on!
Stiff back in morning
Feel the cold very much, especially my legs
Acid reflux, digestive problems
Urinary problems
Ringing in ears
Hot sweats
Recently, restless legs occasionally
HELP :?: TIA

Go see a specialist rhumatoligist

It could be chronic fatigue chronic pain

I went last year out of state to a very specialist in rhumatoligist he said I had chronic fatigue and chronic pain and fibromyalgia my whole

Life yet most of my life like allot of your symptoms tired fatigue 100 or more jobs could never build up to the job or whatever you want to call it

Sore but very active was to stubborn and beaten about being lazy and adhd to slow down

Then the lul in the storm ended in my 30s and just kept getting worse to where it is now in my 40s close to laid up I'm just happy for the close to normal

Years I had you have to find positive past and present or you will go nuts and be a bitter angry person

Back to your question nobody can answer it sounds like any of the 3 I listed go see a specialist rhumatoligist but don't

Take if they do what's called trigger or tender spot testing it's outdated the good rhumatoligist take history blood tests listen to everything you say

It is beyond words important to have notes think back to childhood etc the good ones go by the details mine has proven many

Times he knows what he is doing and talking about it took another state to finally get answers but I got them

Good luck best wishes

Thank you for your reply. I have been to the doctors and she has referred me to a rheumatologist and a sleep clinic.
It's the falling asleep and really bad memory that are the main problem for me. My hands do get painful and my lower back gets stiff and achey especially when I get up in the morning. I have lived with some things that I don't hardly notice them now.

I have sleep apnea and it can cause fog fatigue pain to much to list

Proper sleep and diet are keys to us feeling better and it doesn't have to be fancy just eat normal but less eating out processed premaid food

It's that simple on diet I drink distilled water I'm hypersensitivity

Good luck sounds like you're on the right track let us know what you find out or any other questions

Take care

so glad someone could help you.

Looking at your list, there are supports for a lot of your issues. I've had some and deal with them with supplements. Have you DUG deeply into thyroid support? Thyroid is Major.

As far as pain, many folks deal with arthritis issues and that stuff is pain related, joints etc.

Fibro pain I believe comes in a nerve rheumatic type pain, gnawing pain. The FM I supposedly deal with came on with an emotional trauma to the body....nerve pain big time.

Thinking back to 1999 when an endo told me I have FM, I didn't really go to him for pain, I was looking for thyroid help and 10 yrs of depression and not getting the proper diagnosed and help with thyroid. Once I got on Armour in 2002 all those years of depression lifted. I have chronic pain and MOST from OA and hip replacement mess. HypoT has about 66 symptoms: pain, fatigue, weekness, hot/cold, hair loss, depression and MORE.

It sounds to me, lay person, that you do have wide spread pain, and fibro, but I'm not a Dr. Do some digging watch some up to date u tube, it's full of people with lots of personal testamonies. GOD BLESS AND BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR SEE KING THE TRUTH. Don't give up.

Thank you for your encouragement.
I have seen a Musculo Skeletal consultant and a sleep study consultant and am awaiting results from them so far. It doesn't help when the consultant dismisses your worries though. He asked for examples of my bad memory so I told him I put the bucket under the tap and turn it on to fill it up and if I walk away, I always forget it and he said he does things like that and it's common when we're getting older!
My friend has FM and when I describe how I feel to her, she says the symptoms are the same as hers but I don't get the chronic pains. My memory is getting worse, I just cannot remember anything from one minute to the next. I start to make a cup of tea and walk away to do something whilst it brews and forget about it. My battery toothbrush ran out last night and I meant to plug it in to charge it but I turned to dry my face and forgot to plug it in! I get the confusion sometimes and then other times my brain is crystal clear...
Thank you, we are working through it.
