Hi there, I'm 35 and have had Fibro for about 6 years. I think with medications it can take certain time to work in full. Everyone is different as to how quickly and how well they work. I've been on Lyrica for a couple years now (was previously on Gabapentin, but only because at the time Lyrica wasn't covered under Medicare). Once it was my specialist put me on it as he has always said Lyrica is better than Gabapentin. I think Lyrica has worked for me, but also because it has been combined with other meds. I have also been on Endep 150mg and Oxycontin 20mg. Taking them all together I think has made good effect. If I wasn't on them I think I wouldn't cope. I think finding the right combination makes the difference. If Lyrica isn't working on its own its worth trying other meds with it. There is also a hospital treatment I have roughly every 6 months or so (Ketamine) where they put me in for one week and attach me to an IV. This treatment is designed to help the other meds you may be on work better. If after all of that there is no relief then definitely I myself would think I'm not on the right medication. Obviously talking to your specialist about possible treatments is very important. I find keeping a diary of each days symptoms and what I'm taking is helpful so that when I do go back to the doctor it is clear to them what is happening and they will think about what is going to help better etc. I think its important you are on the strongest multi vitamin out there. I went to my doctor and pharmacist bout that and I'm on a prescriber only womens multi vitamin. It has everything in it and keeps my levels good so that there is no opportunity for me to feel fatigued and lethargic etc. I never thought of vitamins to be helpful earlier on when I was first suffering. Once my eyes were opened to them and I started taking them and recording everything, I noticed an improvement. Do you take vitamins?
