Frightened about surgery and pain!

I am sorry to hear that (about the pain). Hopefully the surgery helps in the long run and the days get easier.

It is both interesting and discouraging that even with all my ongoing (and now somewhat improving) issues of my back surgery, that my fibromyalgia symptoms are as bad as ever and interfering with my recovery.
