Have not been here for awhile, going to see a Doctor who treats fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Needs help desperately. What happens if a flare up does not end. I over did at my mom's, helping
With house and yard sale, first night I thought I was going to die, didn't want to wake up my 93 old mom,to say I have to go to the hospital, so I took and extra tramadol. Still it barely touched the pain, it was so bad, I was on fire, with pain flaring up all over, eye socks terrible. This is now day 4 , is some what better, hands are done and I have to work tomorrow. Can't live with this, what if this doesn't end, why don't doctors and others see this why do they think you a making it up, why do I have to pretend, when I am dying inside.
Who would want to make this up. If it doesn't stop, if work does me in tomorrow. I can't say
Just had to get it out, the trash compactor has just come on ,to sqeeze me to death. Great.

catlady,
So sorry to hear that you are in such bad pain. Have you ever tried warming a blanket in the dryer and then relaxing underneath it for a while. When my pain gets really bad I try first by taking a bath in warm (not hot) water with epson salts in water. Then I go put a lightweight blanket in the dryer and warm it up like they do in the hospitals. It makes me feel so warm and relaxed and able to sleep better and longer.

I use Neurontin 300mg for pain medication plus use strong migraine headache medication. I am sure other members will be able to offer some hopeful advice as well. See you around the forum. :)

Catlady... I'm in the same boat here! Migraine and headache for several weeks now... no advices on that one at all, since nothing seems to work anyway. I feel so sorry you are going thru this, it's never easy! Are you taking something for the migraines? I tried Advil Forte the other day, but I didn't like the fact it caused me constipation, so no have to decide what's worse the pain or constipation, hehehe. I pass for now...

Hang in there!

I am sorry to hear so many people living in harsh terms. I can only say as on outsider to follow regimen and hope for a better tomorrow. The drugs do work, have faith in them. And please do not lose interest in life, try to ignore the pain and focus on the good things that happen in everyday life. There are a lot of it, trust me. This can make you feel a little relaxed and better for a while, even on a pain day. Furthermore, exercise regularly, and this has proven results you know. All will be well soon.

Hi it sounds like you are dealing with a lot , both physically and emotionally...hope each day becomes better and new docs help

Now you know you can't overdo it. Just being up on your feet or sitting for too long can cause those aches and pains to come about. I can sympathize with your pain because you don't have to do much in order to feel the after effects. What makes me so angry is that the one's who should understand how one with Fibromyalgia victims should feel or the very ones who make you look like you are telling lies and over exaggerating! We know our bodies. We know how we feel! Then what gets me is that a person think you are lying and putting on until it somehow starts affecting them, and they are feeling the same pain and aches. Then they have the nerve to say, "Man, now I know how you were feeling when you were hurting in your back. My back is killing me." Right then and there you want to say, "So what? You couldn't understand my aches and pains, and I don't want to hear about yours!" Woosah.... Let me calm down before I pop a blood vessel. I am so very sorry you are having to deal with the stupidity. If anyone knows how you feel, we do. So please continue to share.

I have had a flare up last fifteen days and I learned a valuable lesson never over do it. Nothing seem to help relieve the pain. My sleep specialist said that doctors can see if a patient has Fibromyalgia though a sleep study. My sleep doctor stated that people with Fibromyalgia never fully enter REM sleep. There are five levels of sleep and seventy-five percent of Fibromyalgia never get to stages three and four. Therefore we never reach the stages need to restore our body. Stage three is moderately deep sleep and stage four is the deepest sleep phase.

Everyday they are coming up with new ways to show and prove to doctors that Fibromyalgia is a real illness.

I have just watched a YouTube video about a Dr Andrew Gross he explained Fibro and treatment. People should watch it
,I know not everyone will agree. The new Doctor I saw treats fibro and chronic fatigue. Her view is very similar to Dr Gross
. I have started a proper diet, and will be cutting back on tramadol. Stretching and will start biking. Using votaren emu gel for pain and nsaids- ibprophen
I have had such a bad spell last few weeks, I was almost done with it all. I now have carpel tunnel both wrists,
And need surgery. I barely work and have gone threw most of my savings. Going to get injections so I can keep working
So, this is the best I can hope for, will give it my best try. Here's to hope:)

I watched his video as well last night and wow! I really liked his approach! I'd really like to start a proper diet... but it sucks every doctor I see to treat other symptoms keeps giving me meds to stop the pain in other areas, like for example my daily headaches.

Best of luck with everything, catlady! I hope you feel better soon!
