I am new to this group. Diagnosed with Fibro in April after months of tests. Right now I'm just reaching out. I'm so overwhelmed with trying to deal with this. And yet at times I'm also still not sure what "this" really is.

Re: Hello

Hi Boogeymanswife, and welcome to the forum! Reaching out is a great first step and I'm glad to see you here!

I'd suggest going back over the many past threads in the forum to start gathering information... there's a certain strength in being informed and I've always been amazed at the amount of helpful information that has been posted here.

Re: Hello

Thank you. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group and having people who understand

I didn't have to go through many different test in order for me to find out that I had this condition. I found out something was wrong after a simple eye exam.
I had been experiencing headaches, and told this to the doctor. He suggested I go to an eye specialist. I went to see the doctor that was recommended to me, and I was not expecting to hear I had this condition. The doctor ask me if i had ever had whiplash, and I said yes, then, he ask me if I had many surgeries. i said i had a few in my life. The doctor and his team consulted for 3 hours, and came back , and told me I had Fibromyalgia. I was shocked!
