A friend of mine who has been diagnosed with FMS absolutely swears by it. She goes to center which offers aquatic aerobics in water that has been heated. This was essential for her as she used to feel very uncomfortable in water that was okay for a lot of the other people. She says that regular exercise in this manner has helped her manage the pain along with the other medication her doctor has her on.

Any one else who has an experience with this?

I have heard aquatic exercises are an excellent way for those who can't exercise the other way, so I'm not so surprised at your friend's claim. I actually plan to start swimming in the future or if possible do aquatic aerobics.

Came highly recommended to me as well. Unfortunately the water in the pool is too cold for me. I have, however, found a wonderful shallow and warm spot at the pond this summer that I have been able to do stretches in. Not sure if I'm getting much exercise but it's been relaxing.
