I walk two- three times a week when I feel up to it. I really have to push myself though.
 
Your doctor doesn't know what it is like to be in chronic pain. People tell me to exercise, too. But I am in such excrutiating pain sometimes that it hurts too much to stretch or do any exercise. One thing that helps me with exercise is to do it very gradually. Do 10 reps of anything at any chance you get (when you are in the bathroom, in front of your computer, etc.) 10 neck reps, 10 arm/bicep reps, etc. 10 isn't a lot and it will get your muscles to start feeling the benefit without fatiguing you worse.
