Having successfully been managing fibromyalgia on guaifenesin for the last ten years I have recently stopped taking it after being diagnosed with colon cancer. I have had surgery to have a tumour removed from my colon and also liver surgery to remove a node that had spread to my liver. Doctors feel my prognosis is good but have recommended a course of chemotherapy. I would like to be in touch with others in silmilar situations....managing cancer and chemo alongside fibromyalgia. Did you stop guaifenesin whilst on chemo, what affect did it have on your fm, any tips for staying positive and managing pain etc.
Best wishes Sally, 66.

Hi Sally

Sorry you've been dealt such a rough hand, life really is cruel sometimes. I wish could offer some advice but just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you & to send a hug your way.

Lou
