Hi all I'm Drew from Adelaide and would like to hear and share about other's experiences with Fibro and your pain and symptoms.
I have found it very hard to get even professional help within the Pain community and Specialists in South Australia. I'm throwing my brain open for over ten years of complimentary therapies and my experiences with opiates and doctors...
I am having a massive flare up today and chose to sit down and register on a nice sunny day, sitting inside with all the blinds drawn, reading people's experiences and trying to offer some helping hand with their pain. I have been a chronic pain sufferer for over ten years and have been given the fibro diagnosis in 2013.
My experiences range from being an obsessive, incredibly interesting landscaper who was self-employed working through the pain, to feeling destroyed on the couch in the dark on a day like today. Anything inbetween goes.
Can we keep this thread for Australia please as we need to build a bigger support base within the community with local health care professionals. Support and well wishes from abroad will be met with love and hugs. Fibro does not discriminate either.
Be kind to yourselves too.
Drew
