I am really having a difficult time finding someone in my area that knows what the hell they are doing or specialize in fibro and cfs.
The rheumatologist i went to that made my diagnosis was kind of rude and very impersonal and just shoved me off back to my primary doc for treatment.
Well, now she has pretty much kicked me out and told me to go back to the rheum doc because she "doesn't know what else to do".
See, I guess I'm a little difficult to treat because I can't take the "usual" medications like Cymbalta, Savella, Lyrica, Tramadol, or Gabapentin/Neurotin. I have had really bad adverse reactions to all of them. Plus, I can't take any opoids for pain (vicodin, percacet) because they cause what I call hyperbrain and make my insomnia worse.
I live in Franklin, Indiana (which is just south of Indianapolis) and the horrible weather we have been having lately has just made things worse. Right now the only things I am taking is an antidepressant (which really isn't helping much) and occasional valium for anxiety and to help me sleep. Ibuprofen takes the edge off the pain occaisionally so i can at least function somewhat, but the cfs is really kicking my butt.
I am really at my wits end. I am almost crying while writing this. Please can someone help me?
