I just wanted to share that I recently started using CBD oil (hemp - legal in all 50 states). The difference is amazing. Most of my normal pain is gone (flares still hurt), plus I'm sleeping through the night again. I was feeling better within 2 weeks of starting.

I've recommended it to a few friends with chronic pain issues, thought I'd share here too

I'm taking 25mg twice/day

Fair warning, though, it tastes terrible but it has made such a huge difference in my life that I still smile when taking it.

Pretty great that is working for you, I hope it helps more people!

I had never heard about this oil before, but I am glad to hear something is working for you :) I hope it helps other people as well. Some folks here might actually appreciate this post a lot.

Thank you for posting your recommendation.

Yes pls update...any side affects?

I have been VERY, VERY, ill since Oct 2014, It all started with SEVERE SORE THROAT PAIN!!! then MIGRAINES Followed by GLOBUS and DIFFiCULTY SWALLOWING!!! and PROGRESSING PAIN throughout my body!!! I saw MANY MANY doctors and specialists. I could not drive! I NEEDED FULL TIME CARE!!! Then I started a which included MARIJUANA, DETOX,DIET and MASSAGE!!! I was then diagnosed with FIBROMYALGIA!!! I STILL HAVE ISSUES!!!

Please do not offer false hope to those who suffer here. Many claims of cures offer slight, if any improvement and are mostly false claims.

I am also a Cannabis convert. I was on a bunch of opiates for years, then started looking into cannabis as a safer and healthier alternative. At first it was not a great experience, as no strains I tried did anything but get me high. I kept at it though, and in the end I've come up with three strains which are high in Cannabidiol (CBD - which has NO psychoacivity at all) and relatively low in THC (the stuff that gets you buzzed). So now I manage my pain using only coconut oil extractions of these strains, and Percocets as needed. No annoying marijuana high, no slow death for my liver and kidneys, and most important of all, no pain!

I do not claim this will work for everyone, as I have come to learn that fibro is a ***** to treat: There are as many varients in symptomology and treatment as there are people afflicted by this terrible disease.

I would love to try CBD oil but do not know where to get it. I don't trust sources on the internet unless I have a recommendation because it could so easily be a scam. I know that CBD can be very helpful for many things. I tried a CBD stick (like a big lip balm) on my dog's nose, which had been dry and cracked for years despite my trying probably 15 different remedies on it, and his nose was healed within a month. But where to get CBD oil for myself??

I would also love to try MMJ. It is legal here, and the doctor who is prescribing my pain medication has told me that he really thinks it would help me. But, if I do that, he will stop prescribing tramadol for me, and won't do so again until I can test completely free of MMJ, so it is a risk for me to try it - I could find myself without anything at all for the pain for weeks if the MMJ did not work. Plus, it is expensive. Even so, I keep thinking of trying it, but have not had the nerve yet.

My HUSBAND HAD TO GET A MED M CARD, COST 200.00. IN ORDER FOR HIS DR TO CONTINUE TO GIVE HIM VICODEN.

That is pretty weird. What would having an MMJ card have to do with taking Oxycontin?

It is my understanding that in order to get some of the stronger pain medications you need to get a Med M Card, as doctors are realizing how many people have gone from the use of these drugs (Oxycontin & Vicodin, etc..) to being addicted to them, as well as, on to worse drugs like:

Heroin. As a destructive opioid, heroin can lead to seizures, psychosis, and hallucinations when it is abused. ...
Cocaine. Cocaine is a very dangerous stimulant even when taken in small amounts. ...
Crack. ...
Hallucinogens. ...
Amphetamines. ...
Marijuana. ...
Alcohol. ...
Inhalants.

So they are making these drugs harder to get in order to try and stop substance abuse. Everything has side effects and some are worse then others. I have heard about CDB oil and how it (might) help but I pass no judgement on the product.
