newly diagnosed with FM and Sjogrens and I a taking hydrocodone 10.325 3 to 4 x a day. It doesn't get rid of the pain but takes the edge off. Nothing else seems to give me any relief. Doc even put me on Dilaudid which didn't help the pain at all only made me very dopey. I hate that I have to live on pain meds. I'm afraid to take Cymbalta due to all I have read. I do take Prozac for depression.
My pain is low back pain my hips, buttocks, shoulder pain and inside elbow pain.
Is there a pain cocktail that works?

I take flexeril (cyclobenzaprine). It doesn't completely remove the pain, but it definitely makes it better.

I have tramadol and amitripolyn nothing takes it all away but it helps me sleep and takes the flu ache away.

Sounds crazy but subtext helps more than any pain pill I have ever tried. I took one of my husbands on accident thinking it was a Percocet and I couldn't believe how much better I felt!

I have been on cymbalta for about a minth and a half. It has made a world of difference for me. I.also take norco as needed and tizanidime (muscle relaxer) most nights. My.doctor and I.are.still exploring options and she wants me to try lyrica soon..

Pot. White widdow, great for pain, anxiety, and Energy. Get some with a low thc.

Tomorrow I am back to work but not sure how it's going to go but has anyone gone through Zoloftshimmy at all?

Be careful with the zoloft. I was on that a few years before I started to get symptoms and it honestly made my moods worse. I felt antisocial, disinterested etc.... Everyone is different but I would just hate for you to add more onto the pile that is Fibromyalgia :)

I'm already worse and seeing and hearing things my doctor said I need to wait atleast 6 weeks before I give it up but it's already driving me crazy! 😣 It's sad that I can research and self medicate better than my doctor can prescribe but I was so happy to just know what was going on I trusted my doctor .... I hate life right now! I'm gonna end up in a padded room!

I have been taking tramadol and gabapentin and and gabapentin helps the most for me and seems to not be wearing off.

I have used gabapentin in the past it did work but made me groggy and super dizzy so far my problem has been being really sensitive to all the medications. I almost feel hopeless that that I am not going to find something and my PCP is really pushing the anti depressants i still waiting on a few more test to come back they found a spot on my brain stem that they didn't really say to much about so they are still trying to figure out what the underlying auto immune disorder I have is but thank you! I am going to ask my doctor about tramadol and I will see if we can try gabapentin again maybe the combo together will work better than just alone!

I been on tramadol for five years and it's still working good

Chiropractors do not utilize medications, drugs or pharmaceutical agents when treating patients. Instead chiropractors focus on identifying the source and cause of patient's pain and utilize conservative therapeutics.

Chiropractors have extensive training in anatomy, physiology. In addition their training, treatment and philosophical approach is to employ a hands-on approach to misalignments and abnormal restricted motion of the joints of the spine and extremities called the chiropractic adjustment. Some healthcare specialists use the terms manipulation and chiropractic adjustment interchangeably.

Chiropractors also may employ the use of physiological therapeutics such as electrical stimulation, cryotherapy, flexibility and strengthening exercises when treating their patients.

Chiropractors are also experts on counseling their patients in all the functional aspects of their life such as proper posture during sleep, work and recreational activities.

Good outline on how chiropractors may be able to help with fibro.
