Long story of doctors/test/doctors/test boils down to Fibro. I've hit my body lowest and trying to accept. My spine/lower back and legs are always in extreme pain now. Chiropractor did help ALOT--got me unlocked when I thought I would end up in a wheel chair. I can walk, but it's not pretty. I can stand, yet not very long. I hate bending down, I use my toes to pick things up if I can. LOL I have a great support family system. Gabapentin didn't do much for me, I don't always have foot pain and my Neuro said that's what's it's for. My main pain is Spine/lower back/butt/legs. The hands and arms come into play when I do too much with them. The heat makes it worst and this summer I've been running a 99 or a bit higher fever. My normal temp is in the range of 96's. Soo I'm new and if anyone can relate I would appreciate. I didn't realize Fibro hit so hard on your spine and lower body. Thank you for reading.

Hi Pamie...Sorry you are having such a hard time. Welcome to the forum. I am new here but not to fibro. Low back, hip, flank and legs was where it all started for me. I spent so much money seeing specialists, chiropractors, acupuncturist, therapists, pain management and so on, that I could have gone to medical school. It was not diagnosed until 2012. I now have a good doctor and he has several fibro patients and he seems to get it. So my pain is treated well.

If I bend down, it's a strain on my back and hard to get back up. If I sit on the floor playing with my dogs or granddaughter, I cannot get back up without something to hold onto and pull myself up. In 2012, I had a really bad episode of costocondritis and it was that that caused my doctor and I got take a look at fibro. Costo pain effects the rib cage and all the way around the back. I think people with MS refer to it as MS Hug. Now it's no longer confined to low back and legs because I still get costo flares and now neck pain. Stiffness in my legs is also a problem and sensory issues such as facial muscles twitching and my body vibrates on the inside. Besides the fever you are coping with, I can relate to your pain. Glad you found us here. Prayers your way!
